But if we based Marti just on this season then we'd all think he wasn't good enough. The fact is he worked wonders last season so has credit in the bank. Ainsworth was unconvincing to say the least in the first season, and catastrophic the following.
I downloaded Twitter and used it solely for QPR news. Pre Musk I thought it was the best social media about, with extremely entertaining moments which were easy to follow.
Now it is all divisive b*llshit. Whichever political ideology you have, the app has now turned into cesspit for anger from both sides. You can say I'm being 'woke' but I am centre politically and constantly seeing complete and unregulated racism, sexism etc etc on a daily basis and it being lapped up and applauded is pretty disgusting. That isnt free speech, that is hate speech. If you said that on the street you'd get a night in hospital, just because you're doing it online doesn't give you a free pass. Likewise how the only 'left wing' views I ever see are of extreme nature. There is zero balance in anything, just people saying the most outrageous things to get attention.
Only thing I'd disagree is I thought the ref was just really weird. Wouldnt say necessarily bad, but I couldn't understand some things, like the drop ball?
I think Marti has been sold a dream here, the players brought in don't look good enough so far, and his idea of 433 is IMPOSSIBLE with Madsen who strolls around more than a newborn. Something about Nourry I just find really unsettling...
Marti still deserves much more time to turn this around, we were rotten before he came and hopefully he can work some magic again.
I totally understand and know he does care about the club.
The only thing I am struggling to understand is never once was he happy or gave praise to Marti last season, but after starting this season poorly it is 'HA! Told you!'
There has to be a balance, you cannot be silent when it's going well, and pile one when there is concern. Just like how these twitter #bring boys can't accept that things are bad at the minute and there is legitimate concern.
Worrying times for sure, but anyone suggesting (I know it isn't many people) Marti should go has very short term memory.
We were absolutely atrocious for 4 (including end of Warbs & Beale's reign) managers, only Marti seemed to be able to steady a sinking ship last season, I trust him fully to turn this around. But he needs to be pragmatic, like he was last season when he came in. If we continue this tippy tappy nonsense brainrotting football, then questions need to be asked.
