| News Comment | Second time unlucky for QPR as Sturridge cons Dean — full match report at 20:23:24
I agree with the some of the comments about Rob Hulse - I thought he looked good when he came on compared to others. There is one thing that has been eating away at me for weeks. I never like to criticise our own players and would never do it during a match but I can't see what Jamie Mackie brings to our team. Sure, he works hard but more often than not he takes three, four or even five touches to control the ball, he runs with his head down and doesn't see team mates and vary rarely passes the ball. My daughter and I seem to be in a minority in V block - maybe it's his level of effort that people love but I think we'd be better off with Hogan or Tommy Smith playing in his position. Probably too late now with new players arriving but the best game I ever saw Mackie have was when we were down to 10 men (against Reading?) and he played full back - maybe that's he's best position because he's certainly not a forward or winger in my opinion |
