I recently read that book about Graham Taylor's special 'friendship' with Elton John. Like brothers they were. Except Elton didn't even attend his funeral as he was in Vegas. Managed to make Princess Di's and sing a bloody song about it though, didn't you????? |

Perhaps not that surprising given his pedigree, and he had looked good before his injury, but I'm pleased we were able to pick him up. After all, this is someone Bayern Munich signed. I wonder why no-one else was in for him - had he had injury problems? |

Yes, I like Smyth and you can't fault his effort but he lacks that extra bit of class that top players have which enables them to play a killer ball or bury a chance when you have one opportunity to do it. Willock at his best had that. |

Nah. Who sanctioned the sale of Dykes, leaving us with two strikers, both relatively unproven at this level? I doubt that was Marti. You could make a case that with Dykes up front recently, we'd have a few more points on the board.
Notwithstanding any extra points, if Marti's not making the decision to sell one of his strikers and fail to replace him, then that's hardly giving him a full pack to deal with, is it? |

As Clive has said before, we've all watched too much football for our own good (particularly at Loftus Road) and most of us aren't professional coaches or ex-players...but isn't one of the first things you're taught as a kid is to get your body over the ball if you want to keep it down? It amazes me that professional footballers who have spent their entire lives playing football don't seem to be able to do this, even occasionally! |
