| News Comment | Everything but the goal – Report at 21:05:01
It’s the hope that kills you, finally looking much more competitive and still shocked by the Cardiff win and the quality of Celar’s goals. I didn’t attend the Cardiff game but went to the Watford game and thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m easily pleased and just want a team that looks up for it, competitive, organised and giving it their all. Our finishing was woefully poor, but otherwise we played well. Nardi looks our best keeper since Smithies, Field had his best game of the season, Saito just never stops running and always a threat, and Morrison looks fairly solid and a good partnership with Cook. Just need more threat up front and hopefully Frey will be back soon with his shooting boots on. |
| News Comment | Celar's deepening nightmare leaves QPR well adrift – Report at 20:20:01
What odds would I get for going the whole season without a home win, and OG being our top goal scorer? Thought I would suffer and attend as no one wanted my ticket. Couldn’t believe Madsen didn’t take the penalty and thought he had a decent game. I like Saito, causes problems and a great attitude. I just don’t understand why Celar keeps being picked, almost cruel to keep playing him, give Lloyd a start. Definitely feels like Cifuentes has had enough, absolutely shafted by the inept recruitment and lack of options up front. The imbeciles running the club have guaranteed relegation and one of our worst seasons on record. |
| News Comment | Savage amusement - Report at 17:20:21
Is it pure stubbornness or pig headiness or is Cifuentes just trying to shame our Head of Recruitment on such an awful signing. why keep picking Celar who offers very little and couldn’t hit a barn door from 3 yards. Why not mix it up with Alfie Lloyd and give Kolli more game time, could it be any worse. It was great support and I hope we at least see more fight from the team in what will be certain relegation. |
| News Comment | Bonfire of the vanities – Report at 15:53:42
It feels like the beginning of the end for Cifuentes, a centre back playing right back, a striker that just can’t score and completely out of his depth, a right back completely out of his depth deployed at left back, that was totally self inflicted and everyone bar the manager must have seen that was going to cost us dearly in conceding a few goals, and midfielders refusing to tackle. Boy blunder Nourry and his data analytics, it’s all just total nonsense and complete incompetence. The only positive for me was not attending and giving my ticket to a Middlesbrough supporting colleague who had a great time. He was astounded with Madsen, he said he had never seen such a woeful performance and nothing short of a total disgrace, as for Santos, a rabbit in the headlights. The club have totally destroyed any enjoyment for the sport, how many times can we get it wrong and screw it up through total imbeciles running the club. I will use my season ticket to spread joy around the office, whoever we play, if I know someone who supports the opposition, they can have my ticket and enjoy the game and an easy 3 points. I’m back to the Isthmian South East to watch Sittingbourne play, third in the table, banging in goals and playing with pride and passion. |
| News Comment | Patient stabilised but home win still proves elusive - Report at 21:23:37
Still can’t believe the rank incompetence in our recruitment and having just two strikers, and no cover at left back, except for Larkeche that we loaned out. When will we ever have a well managed club at the top downwards, it’s pathetic. Whatever we do in January when the transfer window opens, it will be too late by then. |
| News Comment | Morgan has his moment but home win continues to elude QPR - Report at 22:44:31
Couldn’t get any worse after the Portsmouth debacle, Quite an accomplishment to get rid of Dykes and Armstrong, and end up worse off. Varane looked better and Saito had a good game, but this team will struggle to win any games. At least it won’t be nail biting as we will be dead and buried long before the end of the season. A goal scorer always gives you a chance of nicking a win, and we haven’t had one since Austin. Celar looks awful and hard to see him making any contribution, his goal scoring stats surely boosted by goals against a number of Micky Mouse clubs, he just doesn’t look even division 3 standard. Well done to Kieron Morgan, great attitude and if only some of the others could show the same level of courage and determination. |
| News Comment | QPR slump to dead last after Pompey implosion – Report at 22:15:18
I can’t see anyway back now, whether the data analytics got hacked by the Russians and that’s how we signed so many duds, why pick on us? How can bloody Brentford always get it so consistently right, and we get it so disastrously wrong! This group of players won’t clock up more than 5 or 6 wins this season, and Marti doesn’t have a clue what to do. The play is slow and ponderous, the players look lost and have to question whether even motivated. If you want to get a manager sacked, this is how you do it. |
| News Comment | That sinking feeling again – Report at 22:01:13
Same old Rangers, piss poor recruitment apart from Nardi who will often be our busiest player by far. Whether the manager was responsible and had a strong say in the recruitment, or some statistical genius that replaces good old fashion scouting, I can’t believe we would have signed most of them if we had watched them play a dozen times. We’re weaker all over, none seem suited to Marti’s style of play. Another struggle and relegation battle, and just cursing myself on forking out for a season ticket. A false dawn, so much promise the back end of last season, but now reality has set in, and I don’t think Marti has the answers this time. Some one has royally screwed up with the recruitment. |
| News Comment | Stuttering QPR’s home woes continue against Hull – Report at 22:30:10
It’s all my fault, first time in years I bought a season ticket after getting carried away from the back end of last season. I was actually enjoying going to watch them again and now cursing myself. Apart from Nardi who is an upgrade, we look worse everywhere else. Marti shouldn’t be immune from criticism either, he’s been tactically inept in a few games this season and what ever he is trying to do, we just don’t have the right players. It’s going to be another long hard season at the wrong end of the table and the honeymoon period is well over. Confidence must be rock bottom and I just can’t see where the next win is coming. |
| News Comment | Three is the cursed number as QPR fall in a hole at Hull - Report at 20:46:35
The season is just a few games too long. After an excellent Easter period, the Marti miracle of getting wins from this team has come to an abrupt end. The gulf in class against Hull was clearly evident but how we are not already long relegated. A dodgy keeper with slow reactions and unable to deal with crosses, and strikers incapable of scoring, Marti has done as much as he possibly can here. We’re definitely down and I thought that after the Wednesday game and we won’t get another point this season. Great match report by the way, thanks. |
| News Comment | The season of evil begins with the birth of a new year – Report at 20:00:34
The years of sheer incompetent management at the top have been leading to this, we should have gone down last season. Ainsworth was a disastrous appointment and we have so many injury prone and ill disciplined players. It will take years to recover but we just need to trust Marti and accept the relegation and the re-building of the club. He’s making plenty of mistakes with his tactics and substitutions and set-plays are woeful, but let’s be honest, if he was a quality manager he wouldn’t be with us. He needs time and patience and we just have to accept the situation, it will get a lot worse before it gets better! |
| News Comment | Brace for impact, QPR crash at Millwall - Report at 10:01:03
That was torture and having the defence looking quite tight and organised against Southampton; we we were just awful. At the very least you expect a team to be committed and playing with pride, especially in a London derby. Our set piece play is just woeful and no improvement under the new manager, our short corner routines just embarrassing! Surely in the winnable games you play your best team, and rest the players and use the squad for the harder games such as Ipswich away. The squad needs such an overhaul and hard to see us avoiding relegation. In the immediate short term we just desperately need a striker with a few goals in him to give us some hope and either a loanee or a bargain from the lower divisions. Anyway, Happy New Year to all you all. |
| News Comment | Anatomy of a fall – Report at 21:12:03
One point out of six when it could’ve been six, the reason we’ll go down. We invited them to come at us sitting so deep, a Wednesday winner felt inevitable! Gut wrenching stuff, the only consolation with relegation would be a good clear out, but seems the right manager to get us back in the Championship. |
| News Comment | QPR's latest act of stupidity brings curtain down on Ainsworth reign - Report at 20:11:39
What a relief, a great player but an awful manager. So out of his depth and had become a complete disaster. No real plan or tactics and some players just not performing. He should have gone before the international break. Even Warnock will struggle to get this lot performing but seems a sensible appointment until the end of the season if it happens. The club are so badly run and needs a good clear out from the top, far too many incompetent clowns stealing a wage for complete failure. |
| News Comment | Each goal more farcical and easier to score than the last - Report at 21:33:56
If Ainsworth had any ounce of decency he would have resigned, he should have been fired immediately after the game. It was an unprofessional performance from a manager hopelessly out of his depth. Thankfully I don’t have a season ticket and won’t be attending any further games this season until a change in manager, I can’t afford to be wasting money watching this shambles under a complete joke of a manager. If we stick with him it’s a long and very painful season and he we will see results and performances far worse than this one. |
| News Comment | Things turn toxic as hapless QPR lose yet again - Report at 09:03:47
I thought it couldn’t get any worse after Critchley but totally proven wrong, it’s almost like the players see Ainsworth as a novelty appointment. It’s the worst I can ever remember from a team and a hopelessly out of his depth manager. There are no tactics apart from hoff it up to Dykes, no shape or style of play, no defending, no nothing, most non league sides would be better organised. Relegation is a certainty and a Wimbledon style long ball neck ache tedious football for next season. Just like Ferdinand as DOF, Ainsworth is another one I just wished had stayed well clear of the club, an absolute disaster of an appointment! |
| News Comment | A horrible new low — Report at 22:54:41
No mention of a refund for the poor fans that went to see a complete disgrace of a performance, I hope the players are quite rightly ashamed of themselves. We’ve had stuffings before but this must be the worst yet. I won’t go again this season as spending hard earned money to watch this bunch of spineless losers is sheer stupidity. We could see a few more defeats of this nature, the players have no pride, fight, desire, and just so completely unorganised. It will get worse before it gets better, but just how much worse can it get and how can Ferdinand not just feel utter shame and not do the decent act and resign. Says a lot about his character that he just keeps taking the money for helping create such a shambles of a football club. |
| News Comment | Something about a massacre on February 14 - Report at 10:49:54
Lost for words, simply atrocious, but that’s me done for the season, I won’t return until changes at the top, Ferdinand has to surely do the honourable thing and resign, a huge failure as DOF. I just refuse to waste any more money. I’ll stick with my local non league club that actually look much more organised in defence and great to see motivated players despite earning peanuts. |
| News Comment | Millwall deliver more pain, and a cautionary tale to woeful QPR - Report at 22:28:46
Unable to muster any optimism as you can just tell the players aren’t set up correctly with any real shape or plan and know they are beaten before the games has even started. It’s just completely unprofessional that subs are not warming up and half fit players coming on and an absolute joker of a manager not fit to manage a non league club. Just how bad does it have to get before the board decide enough is enough and at least look at a short term appointment like Warnock to at least get a few points between now and end of season. |
| News Comment | I hitched a ride with a vending machine repairman — Report at 21:18:03
Absolutely bloody awful and no light at the end of the tunnel, a manager who is completely useless and a team where half have lost all confidence and the other half just don’t give a toss. No honeymoon period for Critchley, just needs to somehow gain enough points to avoid falling through the trapdoor into league one. Perhaps relegation might be a blessing in disguise for a good clear out from the boardroom down. All I want is a team that are organised and committed and care about the club, is that too much to ask for? |
