Playing really well. If you compare BJ's experience to RS's the product on the pitch has been chalk and cheese in the last 3 halves. As has player acquisition. I was similarly skeptical but BJ us winning me over |

If you're good enough, you're old enough. Ask Luke and George and Daniel to name but a few |

EEL's hamstring injury requires surgery
Worst case recovery is up to 9 months according to Dr. Google. Of course it may be a lot quicker but it looks like Ferguson for the foreseeable. |

Gutted I couldn't make yesterday. Followed Twitter highlights and just watched match highlights. The Henry goal didn't disappoint, even after reading how good it was. Did SPO speak or just sing a chorus of 'up the Dale, not for sale?' From what I've read, Woking let us play which is never a good idea against us. The next challenge BJ has is to do this against teams who press us but sitting 4th currently is a wonderful start to the season after so many poor ones latterly. From being so close to an extinction event, this still all fells dreamlike. |

Not entirely unfair, but would add the caveat that he came very close from such a run off the pass from Allakharia yesterday, and he makes quite a few when the defence are playing square and not looking forward. He must get very frustrated up there on his tod. I feel like we aren't getting the best out of him yet either. |

It says 'don't worry be happy'. Check the attached tweet unless he's got 2 tats.
And the scenes you described weren't really visible on NL tv but you can relive them here and much easier to appreciate. There is no doubt in my mind that BJ has contributed massively to this.
What time did you get back? Good job there's no school this morning? [Post edited 27 Aug 10:42]

Looking at the even bigger picture, we are 5 games into a stated 138 game mission to get back to the EFL. If its quicker, great, but anyone expecting something in year 1 might well be considered over-optimistic. If y1 means fixing the defence and improving the midfield whilst still giving us 41 games to look at striker options (current and new) then it will have been a good start regardless of final league position to some extent. Don't listen to pointless manager interviews anymore, but heartening to read that BJ acknowledges our lack of pace going forward. Difficult to evaluate strikers when they face 10 outfield players between them and goal. Plenty of room for improvement but we seem to be heading in the right direction. |

TAR gets a gift in 6 yd box and falls on his Harris. We just can't get a break |

LMAO. Yeovil comms just said 'again a little too pedestrian from Rochdale.' |

So 2k SCs less say 500 in the Sandy = 1500. I know we are trying to be sustainable but £150 well spent for me. If the club think we aren't worth 10p for a £350 SC could they be sold at the Trust desk and self applied. New era, new levels of austerity. |

There was a brilliant defence splitting ball through from Allarakhia to Mitchell which he clipped just over the bar too NB but it's hardly edge of the seat stuff |
| Forum Reply | Yeovil away match thread at 16:00 26 Aug 2024
The comms close to the the end of the half said Dale have the ball at the edge of the box and Yeovil have all 10 players behind the ball within 20 yards of goal. That is the exact problem we face every game due to our glacial build up play. Tbf I think it was Armstrong was played in close to the touch line on that occasion but it's the exception rather than the rule. Of course if we do manage to stretch a team we need strikers to put chances away, but that's another conversation. |

I'm assuming this is the FGR match thread and the open training never finished - FGR just joined in when they got to Spotland. |

Tbf, their number 10 missed a couple and there were others too. We might gave scraped a point on another night but were much more deserving of a win vs Daggers |

Second best at everything tonight sadly. Out-passed, out thought, out fought and out scored. We got one goal from a bucket full of chances Saturday and 0 from fewer chances tonight. If we don't start converting chances or bring in someone who can I'm struggling to see us improving our league position this year. Very early days though and lots of time to change things. Hopefully.
