Beer prices at Loftus Road. 14:35 - Mar 4 with 3350 viewsknocker

Always amazes me when I see people paying more than £7 for a bottle of 3.4 percent Carlsberg. Even more so now my.wife has told me that Tesco have 18 bottles for £9!!! Bonkers.

In the 40 odd years I've been going to Loftus Road I don't think I have ever once bought a beer. Partly because I always drive there, partly because it's pizz water, partly because it's always been expensive, partly because I don't want to queue for ages and partly because I don't want to keep going to the toilet.

When I was an STer in R block had this family next to me (they had to get past me to get to their seats) who always turned up 5 mins after kick off (as they always had to get that 'last one in' at the pub beforehand), left halfway through the first half to go for a pizz, came back, left 5 mins before halftime to 'get a beer in', turned up 5 mins after second half kick off, left halfway through to go for a pizz again, came back, left 5 mins before full time to 'get to the pub first'.

I wouldn't pay 7p for a bottle of Carlsberg.

Suffering since 1978.

Since moving to the safe standing I've started to enjoy a half time beer (it was impossible in the paddocks to even get a pie tbh), but, and outing myself here, I will very noticeably get the last round before we leave for the game. I ain't queuing

Yes the food is awful and over priced too…£3 for a weak cup of tea…I guess the club makes some dosh out of it.

I have never bought food or alcohol at games so I may be wrong here, but aren't the refreshment outlets contracted out so the club is getting a fixed amount per season irrespective of sales?

The grass is always greener.

That was what I thought, but isn't it the club that insisted on Astrella being sold?
