Time to play our own 23:00 - Mar 1 with 6477 views | Ned_Kennedys | After the last couple of results we are clearly destined for the lowest of mid tables so what is the point of playing Edwards and Min-hyeok as they will never sign for us. Drop them and get Morrison and Smyth back in the starting line up as they are ours. I’m assuming Saito will be signed so he should be starting.

We sack off cups to compete in a league which now includes dead rubbers where you don't have to play your best team either. We have the oddest fan base sometimes. How about we just try and win football matches. It's why we exist! I'm fed up of losing continually. |
There aren’t many successful teams out there that didn’t think in decades rather than seasons.

If we are all about short term success then perhaps we should get 6 or 7 Premoer League loan players in the squad and fill half the team with them every week? Thought the general consensus was that we need to develop our own players so we generate a few Eze type sales now and then? Thats not going to happen if we’re developing young players for Tottenham and Southampton on a regular basis.

I remember Tony Fernandes years ago saying it's all about the future when we exited the FA Cup at the 3rd round yet again. And yet her we are 10 or so years later in the lower reaches of the championship. Let's just focus on winning our next game. You do know those players we're wrapping in cotton wool and building up to be the next Cash cow like Eze can walk away for nothing. We're the only ones who are loyal to QPR.

Sorry I was talking specifically about starting loan players instead of our own. I agree the FA Cup thing is a disgrace.

You can do both which is what Marti is doing at the moment We have 2 loan players in our team regularly in Edwards and Saito. Yang is rotating with Smyth who was pretty poor at Pompey the week before so an understandable move. The other 8/9 in the team are all our players If the team had 5 loans in I could understand these complaints a bit more but this all feels a bit mad to me

And we're not technically safe yet. We all know what QPR are like. We're more likely than not to lose the next three games for the same reason we lost on Saturday. Suddenly you're going to Stoke away and the bedwetters switchboard will be fielding calls.

To be honest I’m arguing for the principle rather than our actual circumstances which aren’t too bad, especially compared to years gone by. Specifically though, Yang is blocking Kolli. Apart from shirt sales I don’t see what he brings that Kolli doesn’t. Why can’t Smyth rotate with him? [Post edited 4 Mar 0:49]

Is a Korean player with three games under his belt who we want to save us? Or is a cheesed off Kolli a better fit maybe? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Kolli is injured so Yang isn’t exactly blocking him right now…

And additionally when Kolli has played in the 1st team he has been used as a striker so he is not being blocking by Yang playing RW..

Time to play our own on 11:33 - Mar 3 by GaryHaddock | ‘But what if NOT playing your best team now is of detriment to us now ?’ I don’t think it is. I think not playing Heung or Edwards is the difference between 11th and 12th. If anything you could argue our form has dropped since we signed them. I don’t blame MC, he’s there to win matches. It’s whoever is bringing them in. |
I don't really understand why so many are so against loan players. We've always had them. People weren't complaining when we brought in Austin and Johansson under Warbs.People also didn't mind having Iroegbonun and Laird under Beale. It's obvious why we're being careful with Morrison. We've made mistakes bringing players back too soon in the past, including Morrison himself this season. As for Smyth he can't play 90 minutes every match. We haven't got another replacement for him and not much pace in the squad. Yang makes sense., even if he didn't have a great game against 2nd in the league. Kolli can't play as said by PP because he's injured. And I can't remember him on the right anyway. Our form has dropped but it's not because of Yang and Edwards. I would say we miss Cook at his best as he's finding his way back; Dunne is not quite at the level of pre- Christmas; Nor is Morgan; Smyth looks a bit jaded, etc, etc. Plus it's the sharp end of the season and teams are fighting for something. When we have our best players firing all together we look good but we're not at the stage of winning against better teams while not playing well. I trust Marti to know what's best for us not just for one or two matches but across the season and even getting ready for next season.
