You talk about preserving the language. That’s great but to what end. So few people use it on a daily basis. More may ‘speak’ it depending upon the definition, even I know the odd word or two as all people living here will, but using it to communicate is very small percentage-wise. Yet the expense in a time where every penny is needed in essential services is disproportionate. |
At least i am not a middle aged man still living his life on his knees, eh ? This might inform you if you were able to open your mind to anything that is not exactly the same as today - good or bad. I know you struggle with this. Your position on the welsh language is like saying there is no point in the NHS making people better if they are not going to go back to work and pay taxes to fund the NHS. No - some things are just the right thing to do. Its the right thing to do to invest in and protect this ancient beautiful language. Unless you are a moron, of course …. Hearsay is not evidence. Fake news. I tell you what would help Wales attract businesses though, cheaper water in Wales. Brewery and water intensive businesses want cheap water. And it rains lots here - right ? Well … water in wales is more expensive than areas in England. English water companies take welsh water without paying the fair market rate. Try that with the oil from the Arab lands. In any normal market both domestic and industry water costs would be lowest in Wales and that would attract certain investments and economic activities. I am sure your very important business breakfast mates - if they exist at all - will confirm. Unless its a UKIP breakfast, of course. Yes do you? 80% of Welsh people want to remain part of the democratic UK. The majority of Wales, and a larger majority than the tiny majority that voted for the disaster that is devolution, voted the leave the undemocratic EU. | ![](/images/avatars/0.gif) |

Was talking to somebody I played football with many years ago, he needed both his knees done and had the first one done a year ago, not trying to put you off but he has been in agony with it since. So much so that he has cancelled having the second one done My left one is not too clever but I think having it replaced will be the last straw. | ![](/images/avatars/9937.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |

Its a fact that older voters in 2016 voted heavily for Brexit. God only knows why. But its left the younger people with a dumbass situation that they actually voted against. If after reading those facts the first thought you think of is the Third Reich then you probably need to seek an urgent medical assessment. Its just not normal. I wish you well. Almost every poster on here will have family who fought in both wars and i am sure they respect such sacrifices. I have no idea who the feck you think you are lecturing other posters on respect when you know nothing at all about them or their families. Good luck at the doctors. | ![](/images/avatars/9736.gif) |

Who sells the licenses that Severn Trent and United utilities use to take water from Wales? As you hadn't noticed, Pubs are closing left right and centre. Who sets water prices in Wales...Dwr Cymru...anyone else? So wy are our prices so high then if a Welsh company controls them? Education is important, why didn't you get any...or any common sense?
