Currently into my 15th hour of waiting to see a doctor and the brains trust reckon when Prince Phillip A&E Morriston will be able to take up the slack , no drunks were hurt in the making of this post

and the illegal immigrants free health care

They don't as they aren't registered with the NHS. Why would they want to be identified? Before you type it, asylum seekers are not illegals

Yes they can, in the UK, refugees, asylum seekers, and refused asylum seekers can receive free primary care and some secondary health care services through the National Health Service (NHS)

You’re right, but I don’t think any of those categories count as illegal immigrants.

Someone who is in the country illegally. None of those are.

I posted a while back, since Labour have been elected they've deported an impressive amount of failed asylum seekers.

Scotia got there first.

Someone who is in the country illegally. None of those categories fit that definition.

Yeah but we get free prescriptions mun

This is a bugbear of mine and a prime example of the Senedd being different for the sake of it.

The prescription system in England is fine.

The Welsh government also pay for every primary school child to have lunch, including a desert, anyone would think we didn't have a childhood obesity crisis.

They are if they immediately claim asylum.

Not saying it’s right to cross in that way, but it is international law.

It might not come across on threads but I have huge concerns around immigration. What I always try to point out is that many of our issues are more complicated than just this issue.

We shouldn’t let politicians get off so easily.

So the ones that come over in lorries and disappear, are illlegals, but if they are caught and then claim asylum, they become legal.

That makes perfect sense.

But then many can be deported if their asylum claim isn't successful. As is happening now in record numbers.

In 14 years of the Tories the queue to sort these claims out and subsequently deport those who didn't have a genuine claim just got longer and longer. Hence the need for hotels, army barracks and barges.

You've got to catch them first which is one of the reasons why Rwanda was a non starter. The Tories cut funding to the border force too.

You seem to be confused, the well respected Cambridge Dictionary defines an illegal immigrant as being the following:
LAW
a person who comes to live or work in a country that is not their own when they do not have the legal right to do this:

Yet again with your attempt at being controversial you've manged to derail yet another thread .

"In a free society, the State is the servant of the people—not the master."

Seeking asylum is a legal right, once they get here.

Well lets hope the so far ineffective border force who so far have proved to be as useful as an empty fire extinguisher stop them in mid channel ,obviously just inside our territorial waters ( we don't want to break the rules now do we)and turn them back , maybe the display of water canons maybe the incentive to them to turn around , what happens in mid channel stays in mid channel

i wasn't so confused after all, was I ?

Where are we going to turn them back to? France doesn't want them, they aren't legally French. No sailor on earth is going see others in danger on the seas. There's nothing legally or morally we can do to prevent them landing here. We are stuck with them until we can process them

For practical purposes, yes, but this isn't quite right regarding the law. The act of entry by irregular means is still illegal, but we refrain from imposing a penalty in line with Article 31 of the 1951 UN Refugee Convention. Also, if the asylum claim is rejected then A31 does not apply and we could in theory still proceed to prosecution, although in practice we don't.

I know you're joking. But it is a difficult problem to solve once they've left France. The Border Force does need to step up and hopefully the extra funding will allow them to do so.

One thing is for certain returning them to France can't work as things stand at the moment.

Insanity "keep voting the same thing expecting different results". Stop voting Labour! Prioritising on green projects, unnecessary speed limits and focusing on increasing senedd members when our NHS service is crumbling.

I wasn't joking or wasn't I , but I'm fed up of seeing freeloaders arriving in their droves abusing a system which was designed to protect the needy and innocent. Aren't you?
