With the fact we are now playing them twice in 3 days, I feel like we can put an interesting spin on this question now
Would you rather beat Luton in the league, or beat Luton in the cup? And we may actually get to see what the QPR brass would prefer based on their team selections.

Given the choice we would do a Middlesbrough. Relegation and two cup final defeats. DEATH AND GLORY.
Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

From the current result most want us to beat Luton in the LC and lose in the league. Strange
Odd way to look at it. I would rather win the cup than stay up. Realistically, are we going to win it? Of course not. Would I play a weakened team in the cup and focus more on the league, definitely.
If losing on Friday meant that we win the cup then I am all for it.
I assumed this would be 100% vote cup win! We have won just one knock-out competition in the history of the club and this is a chance to double that, with what would be an amazing day at Wembley. Even if we did go down we would have the ‘fun’ of getting back to the Championship.
Cup win every time.

Cup win ALL DAY. The glory of a Wembley cup win, name etched on trophy, a moment in history to pass down generations.. nah give me another 8 consecutive visits to Preston please with the slim possibility of a promotion thrown in somewhere only to get slapped up for a year.
So we go down.. we're the m'fcking cup holders balling in Europe playing League 1 what a story. Over a 10 yr horizon we could easily go down at some point anyway, just part of the process. Relegation doesn't automatically mean bankruptcy, and as cup holders playing in Europe there's some bounce back cash right there

I reckon the club would lose money if we had a Europe run. The prize for the League cup is pennies down the sofa now, no wonder its become a joke, with no Premier League teams bothering to compete in the early rounds

Does anyone know if we won the league cup but got relegated, would we be allowed to play in a European competition?
Didn't we get excluded form Europe in 1968 because UEFA hadn't figured on a 3rd tier team winning a major domestic trophy?
Fkin' disgrace. A team who wins a trophy that the whole League enters into should be allowed to participate in Europe. Even if they get tonked, they've earned the right to participate.
