Great idea by the club with some really good choices and information on each kit.

Yellow and green stripes with black trim/shorts & socks would be the winner for me as it would be noticably different to anything you see today. The green and black from the 90s would be a second choice.

The red and green one was the first replica kit i had so i am voting for that one.

Yellow and green is a bit WBA away from the Cyrille Regis days for me

I’d go for the first one as it’s completely different

That’s why the black collar and shorts/socks are crucial. Changes the entire look. WBA actually have a version of it now, but thinner stripes.

Even with the subtle differences it’s too WBA for me. It’ll be popular though.

Like others have said first one for me just because it's so different.

looks to be a range of different versions of the club badge being offered on these options, all different from the current version used for many years.

Well if we play like that team, nobody would be complaining!

They are graphics of the actual kits we wore then, similarly the sponsors aren’t Crown Oil.

There’s a bit in the article about them being modernised - that will no doubt include the badge.

The graphics were used in previous programme articles and were the best available images of the kits, especially given the absence of much photographic evidence from the 'old days'.

The shirt for next season will have the current crest, an Errea logo and Crown Oil across the front.

Gotta be the green and black! Or red and green as a second choice. The two primarily yellow ones are too similar to the series of yellow away kits we had a few years ago.

If the red and green option wins can't wait to see the Crown Oil logo on it!

Personal choice for me would be the green and black, decent kit, nice colours and stripes

Same 2 kits for me but in reverse order. Would be happy with either of them

Ah the old watering can logo, now that’s nostalgic! Really like the white and green pin stripe, or the yellow and green option.

Anything but the green and red stip. I remember being mad keen on the Dale and when they visited Southend telling the local Southend hordes that Rochdale might win. The time was totally humiliated and so was I.
I can’t go back there.

From reading here and the club's social media sites, there doesn't seem to be a clear favourite, so the outcome will be very interesting.

It has to be the red and green for nostalgia and history, the 80/81 team known as ‘maddens mercenaries’ we had just finished bottom in 79/80 had only 3 players and somehow Pete Madden got a team together and we finished 15th with some great football and goals- we knew if we finished in the bottom 4 that year we were out- we didn’t, it was also the 1st season for the overcoat men! Some players to don that shirt, Alan Jones, Eric Snookes, Brian Taylor, Peter Burke, Alan Weir, Nigel O’Loughlin, Dennis Wann, Mark Hilditch, Barry Wellings, Jimmy Seal, Eugene Martinez, and not forgetting Graeme Crawford in goal, I’m sure some of those players will bring the memories flooding back!

"will be produced by Errea with a modern twist"

So for striped shirts in the classic style, I'd expect something not quite resembling classic stripes (ie no stripes on the back where the number would be, adapted sleeve design)

As they stand in the pictures, A & B look great.

The yellow all in one kit looks great, and the green and black carcraft one was a favourite at the time. I reckon the carcraft one would suit the crown oil/modernisation treatment better than the others.
