The lad did very well

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

No we have been saying for some time that there were a few U23s ready to step up and now we are playing Championship rather than Prem football they are getting their chances.

Will you all please stop advertising how well the boys did. Those fckers will end up selling them. If we can all quietly say that we did just ok.

Didn't look out of place at all. Assured, comfy on the ball, strong when he needed to be.

Top debut from him.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Thanks all, excellent to hear and the clean sheet should do his confidence the world of good

Apparently taller than VdH according to commentary?

Very good. I know it’s only one game but we could probably count him as a 1st team centre half- meaning we only need to bring in one centre half on loan

Didn't see the game as put of the country, but sounds like the lads had a good game ,don't realise he was 6,4😁

Good turn of speed caught a couple of their players. It was an assured performance from the young man. He will have much tougher days I have no doubt. He is right footed but playing on the left which may be an issue once he has been watched by scouts in a few games.

Massive surprise how well he did today. Good on him. As he headed down the tunnel he came back out to give his mum and dad a hug. It was lovely to see. All praise for the boy. Great debut.

Indeed, first thing I noticed, He's tall.

Then he looks about 8st after a good meal.

Then the boy can play.

Ashley Williams days as Wales no1 CB look numbered.

Handled Nmencha well. Beat him in a foot race in the first half which was surprising too.

Bugger off Jasper.

He did very well and I’m pleased for him. It’s lovely to see a Swansea boy playing as well. First since Shaun Mac isn’t it?

But this is a long, hard season. It’s completely unfair to rely on a 20 year old with so little experience at centre back as first choice for 46 games.

What happens if VDH gets a knock? You have to have some experience at that position.

As I said earlier, we need 1 CB, and preferably one who can play both CB and DM. I’d love to bring Pat’s boy here as that dual role, with some real experience as a dedicated CB loan.

Much tougher days? I'm not sure. The way the game unfolded and we had to use our GK as a sub meant we couldn't bring on Jeff and keep the unfortunate Mackay on. We wouldn't have been under half as much pressure if we could have kept pace out wide.

If we hadn't we'd have beaten them by two or three goals.
Leeds, Derby, Boro, Stock and WBA will test him as much but in fairness he was very good today.
