Jesus the bitterness is quite incredible. You see the whole point in coming out of the EU is to be set free from their shackles and be free to do deals with the entire world. Lisa the thought of us agreeing a good trade deal with the EU and then agreeing trade deals with all other major countries around the world is killing you. Rather than accept what’s happening and look forward, you can’t accept the fact that you could very well be proved wrong. You may think that you’re far more clue’d up and intelligent than over 17 million people in this country but you’re not, nowhere near it.
And I wasn’t getting excited, I was posting brexit news on a brexit thread. The same way you remainers post anything negative regards the economy on here blaming brexit.

We are at present. But at present, the 'other side' is bargaining with an enormous economic bloc (including us), which gives us an incredibly powerful position. When it's just us, by definition, that power is seriously diminished.

I have no doubt the Eu , Germans and French are prepared to sacrifice many, many jobs on the alter of “European union unity” just to punish the Brits, as a warning to other countries who may want to leave in the near future.
The Frankenstein project (Eu)is far more important to the fanatics from Brussels than jobs and the prosperity of its citizens.

It's quite depressing when the nutters that used to attack the notorious 'Door 4' at Penlan during breaks, often by heading the steel panels that replaced the glass, were in fact brighter than people now in parliament.
Now nobody is saying that we couldn't eventually replicate this. Its that trade deals / FTA's take always take years to negotiate. Both side's take time to decide what goods / services etc. that they want access to and offer up to their new partner. But, the issue some of us remoaners have are;
1) How will our economy cope for the period (several years) in which we exit the EU and start striking up trade deals? Even the governments on studies conclude that the economy will take a hit, and whats the price worth paying for this? 2) How strong will our negotiating really hand be with a weakening economy when striking these new deals? Remember, we need these deals to get our economy going again and the other side will know this.

Of course the EU would still sell us goods. But complex supply chains would be affected by tariffs and custom checks.
Even if we started negotiating now, they wouldn't be agreed in time for when we depart the EU and Countries wouldn't do any serious negotiating with us until they understood our future trading relationship with the EU.
