Surely if they were number 6 in this draw (I don't know the number I'm just using it as an example) then they would have moved to 5 as Brentford would no longer have been in the draw or did you account for that?
And if we had beaten Brentford, the celebrations at LR would have been such that a butterfly on SA Road would have flapped its wings in alarm, displacing air molecules that resulted in a chain reaction leading to the bloke making the draw picking a different ball. Innit.
