If we said brexit was off the table tomorrow we'd be booming and we'd all be enjoying a pay rise. We are in for a gloomy few years all for nothing. It p1sses me off.

OK, yes the pound has fallen against the euro. And it's as a result of Brexit. I don't see it as a big deal. For me, there are more important things than the exchange rate. Who knows - in time the pound might rise again.

The point about the airport is: when the exchange rate is poor, you do your damdest to get the best rate you can. You might be less inclined to worry about it when the rate is 1.40. And nobody in their right mind exchanges currency at an airport - unless it's an absolute emergency.
