Absolute Shambles All Over The Pitch. 14:47 - Dec 27 with 6818 views | BostonR | No organisation at the back - all over the place. Luongo a waste of space in midfield and as been since he arrived - constantly giving the ball away and conceding a nonense penalty. No teeth up front and a new management team that are out of their depth. Holloway should have stayed at Sky.
Absolute Shambles All Over The Pitch. on 20:37 - Dec 27 with 2148 views | easthertsr | When he was appointed Clive sad he feared for Olly if it all went t*ts up and so do I. This man practically single-handedly dragged us back to the Championship all those years ago. I love him to bits, but it seems he can't cope with the present situation, if he goes Les has to go too. Someone needs to get a grip of the situation and quickly. Amit?

I don't think this appointment was anything to do with Ferdinand. Holloway was the choice of Fernandes.
Absolute Shambles All Over The Pitch. on 21:48 - Dec 27 with 2004 views | OldPedro | Lots of people calling for Holloway, Ferdinand and Fernandes to go but who are we going to get instead? Do we think there are potential owners queuing up to take us over? And if there is someone who wants to buy us,how are they going to get around FFP and how quickly would it go through? Do we get a new Director of Football or do we go back to a manager who signs all the players (which worked so well with Hughes and Rednapp)? I don't know the answers but who does.

Absolute Shambles All Over The Pitch. on 19:44 - Dec 27 by baz_qpr | Under JFH a lot was placed on defensive positioning when without the ball, Under Ollie shackles have been taken off and now we are all over the place defensively. We now have a centre midfield that neither protects the defence nor runs beyond the forwards nor is able to dictate play. Cousins looks a good athlete Luongo is a 5 side player who flatters to deceive, Borysiuk is a decent enough 4 without a run of matches. Upfront Sylla (who has played most of his career wide) needs a run and in defence Bidwell and Perch as average a players as you will see. Onohua is gibbering wreck for the last few months and today we had Hall that is ok. I said a fair few weeks ago we were in deep trouble and so it seems to be, I also said in the run up to the JFH sacking that our problem was more squad related than manager related. I think the ethos of only buying under 25 players from lower down the leagues was and is totally flawed, I think following the crazy reigns of Rednapp and Hughes we've gone so far the opposite way we will need a miracle to get out of this. It was all very well meaning but the reality is when people look back for the last 20 or thirty years we always had a big name top dollar star player in our team. We've hired at DOF and Manager on sentiment and we are following a course on sentiment. All very well meaning but we could find ourselves back in league one and back in administration in the next 6 months. No time for sentiment now. I don't think Ollie is in a recoverable position, I think he has lost the dressing weeks ago. I think we have to break FFP again to ensure our survival as a club. |
Regarding the change of tactics to go from spunking money on overrated sh!te to spunking money on Young unproven sh!te , you are spot on. Even then , we couldn't do that right ! The more I think about it, the more the expression "can't see the wood for the trees" comes to mind. sh!te football and management, wait for said sh!te manager to decide when to go rather than get rid and get a suitable replacement in ! Decide that with half a season to hold onto our premier league place , we should pass the reigns onto the fking youth team coach !! Decide that because the right way to do things is to build the club from within and work our way up, that we should start that process overnight with no fcuking foundation to do so whatsoever !! Then when we realise above fcuk up, decide we will actually keep what we have and go for it anyway with said youth team manager and a squad not knowing if they are coming or going. Oh sh!t, that's not working either so let's go back to building on the cheap with our quicksand foundations again. Right lets build a team and give the manager a blank canvass .... and that is exactly what we have now, a fking cheap piece of A4 paper with some Poundland felt tips missing 1 or 2 primary colours to work with !! Baz, the only thing wrong with your post is it should read "absolute shambles throughout the club"
Absolute Shambles All Over The Pitch. on 23:43 - Dec 27 with 1825 views | daveB | We were never that tight under Hasselbaink, blind luck and a great goalkeeper kept the score down most weeks, now the luck has run out and every mistake is ending up in a goal. I think and have said many times the first goal is key for this squad, if we get it then we'll win or draw, if we concede first we lose or draw.

that's a bit of a stretch Dave, losing 6 in a row is more than unfortuitous. Unless we got a month's worth of lucks craping that 2-1 win against a Norwich side who had 10 men from the first minute! The squad is unbalanced and confused but they're definitely capable of mid-table at least - in fact it was. It's depressing but we've really got to go back to basics now, imo it was pretty foolish to try this sort of wholesale change before a transfer window.

Absolute Shambles All Over The Pitch. on 16:54 - Dec 27 by stowmarketrange | I didn't see last season's 4-0,but I did see us play quite well for 30 mins today, and we were unlucky to lose 3-0.We played a lot better today than we have done recently, but we didn't have any penetration today. We need to get polter fit asap or get someone else in in January. We seem to be still in games until the 2nd goal goes in. |
We play well enough when we have the ball, albeit we never look like scoring because we simply aren't good enough to put in a decent cross or a decent final ball to create a chance to score. Too many of our players just don't look up when delivering the final ball to give anybody in the box a chance to get near scoring. But we really are shocking when we lose possession. Yesterday there was simply no challenge for the ball, Brighton players were running with it and we just stood off them and watched them run past us with it. Out wide, we just don't appear to know how to prevent a wide player getting a cross in, again we just stand off them and give them yards of space to do that. Obviously with all that going on, defending becomes very difficult; as well as crosses opposing midfield players have all the time in the world to ping the ball between defenders for their front players to run onto. Nobody in the team appears to know how to actually tackle a player. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Absolute Shambles All Over The Pitch. on 06:16 - Dec 28 with 1673 views | corse | And the shambles started when someone had the great idea to bring mr hollow back. Jimmy had the idea that first get the defence sorted and he was working with it. Since hollow came it has gone backwards. With the midfield jimmy was unlucky with lots of injuries and family matters and hardly had a game them all fit. Oliie has all of them back and fit and he can not get it right. Luongo has gone backwards and ollie didnt see that chery needed a quick rest but instead kept him playing. You can be bloody sure that jimmy had realized our weakness in scoring goals but we still did score them. He would have signed someone in january. But after ollie came we have scored what...three goals? And whats worrying that has dried up too. He dont know what he is doing. How to get the best out from the players. The footy was dull and boring under jimmy but it was championship mid table all the way. Ollie is a disaster and league one. He is not up to it. He dont have the slightest idea how to work with this group. Jimmy had. The stupidiest thing to do is wait and see if ollie gets it right. He wont. Wrong man got the job based on his ancient merits and the love of this mess called qpr. Get rid of him and we might have a change to stay up.
Absolute Shambles All Over The Pitch. on 07:30 - Dec 28 with 1626 views | ozexile | Sounds very familiar. I'll probably get hammered on here for saying this but we're on a dogfight now. Play Washington off of either Polter or Sylla and lets get the ball out of our half. We can't defend and can't pass so what other options do we have?

I usually agree with most you write Dave, but to put JFH's record down to blind luck, but to say we have been "unlucky" under IH is nonsense. We didn't fail to score in 2 consecutive games under JFH and never had a run like this, to put that difference down to "luck" is absurd. I didn't want JFH to go, but thought IH was a good appointment. The reasons for not sacking JFH apply to Ollie - to a degree, but surely you can see if we sacked JFH based on his record then surely IH must be under threat given his appalling start - that he himself has admitted doesn't look good. Part of the solution to a problem is recognising you have one - "bad luck" isn't our problem believe me!
