Getting a bit silly now! So Keane missing Tues and did someone say Bunney is now suspended? Surely Hill knew he was planning that with a printed shirt on. Maybe it's planned needs a rest anyway.

And in spite of the trouble he went to, the message seems not to have been read by anyone. Maybe it said 'Bring back the Sandy Lane drummer'.

Dale's last six home league matches: WWWWWW (goals for 13, against 1). But of course nothing to be taken for granted ahead of Walsall on Tuesday (their last six away: DWDDDL, for 6 against 6). [Post edited 19 Nov 2016 18:42]

That's the only half-sensible explanation I can think of, that it's getting his 5-card ban out of the way The match was competitive for half an hour until we scored, after which we never looked in any trouble whatsoever. At that point, we'd had decent chances but so had Swindon and Logan was called on to make a couple of decisive blocks. For me, he just reads the game so well and he can keep the shirt now Another brilliant game-reader, Keane, was nailed on for MoM until his injury. Having said that, McGahey played very well and whichever idiot had it in for him a few weeks back should be ashamed of himself. Bunney's overall performance probably shaded MoM but you know what? I've no complaints about the 'official' MoM going to Joey T who put in a solid shift today and kept things ticking over without having to do anything outstanding. As for Davies, he's just a goal machine and with Hendo coming back into things we've still got plenty of options even with all the injuries/suspensions Finally, a word about Rathbone Exciting [Post edited 19 Nov 2016 17:49]

At home is that? Really good performance today against a team who had completely given up come the second half, barring the excellent Vigouroux. Everyone played well and it's so pleasing how often we managed to test the keeper - something which has been lacking in our game for a lot of this season. NML was my man of the match, he's adding that penetration to his game and he's fast becoming our best player in my eyes.

Match thread - Swindon on 17:53 - Nov 19 with 2151 views | 442Dale | That was a great performance today, everything that's right about what we do. That starting XI was far from our strongest but we produced a solid and impressively effective display to win convincingly. Some thoughts... *Thompson was very poor last week but had a good game today, that's what you get, expect no more or less. *NML could unplayable at this level, wish he'd noticed the speed the keeper came out and gone round him because that could have been a wonderful goal. *Losing Keane was barely noticeable, McGahey came on and did very well alongside McNulty again - as he did against Fleetwood and Maidstone. The two have been good together and you have to hope that Bunney's stupid suspension doesn't mean Canavan back in and McNulty at LB. Play Tanser instead, because unsettling McGahey and McNulty now would be a real shame. * Swindon pretty much gave up. The sooner they end this stupid experiment with that idiot Sherwood, the better it will be for them

That initial point makes sense on some levels if it was right at the end of the game. The bigger at was a red following minutes after and changing the whole game. He'll learn, Nobody could argue that there's a really good centre half in McGahey. He's streets ahead of someone like Lancashire, and the only reason Canavan gets a game ahead of him is because the latter has a left foot. I know who the better player is.

Match thread - Swindon on 18:08 - Nov 19 with 1869 views | Shun | 19 shots today, and 9 of those on target. If you look at the table before today it's clear our defence is stronger than our attack, so that's pleasing to see.

Thompson's game is to shore it up defensively for the first half and assist in attack when we start to turn the screw. He's played the same game for a number of home matches, all of which we've won. It works.

He's a lot more solid in the tackle now, putting in a couple of real crunchers in midfield. That was an element to his game that used to infuriate me, but he's honed his technique with experience and then just does the simple layoff. Both Camps and Lund infuriated with not releasing the ball and getting caught in midfield, allowing dangerous breaks. They can learn from Joey T. [Post edited 19 Nov 2016 18:15]

What part of that was supposed to change my mind? He had a solid game but there were better players all over the pitch which is why the decision shocked me.
