I watched the last episode of line of duty and thought that was good. Undercover has finally grabbed by attention. I quite like some of the investigative programmes Stacey Dooley does. However I can't wait for the next series of people just do nothing.

This has probably already been mentioned as I'm about 5 years behind the rest of the world with this show but watching The Good Place on Netflix and it's just brilliant

The Defeated on Netflix, a crime thriller set in 1946 Berlin. Very decent.

I wondered about that one earlier.

I'll add it to the list, thanks.

Mortimer and Whitehouse were back again tonight, a series that I first heard of here.

Utterly beautiful TV.

First episode of Vigil on the Beeb was very promising. Writing and cast are top notch.

Binged 'Secret State' on Amazon Prime last night. Apparently it's a remake of 'A Very British Coup', which I haven't seen so I can't compare.

I thought it was solid without being spectacular, but if you're into political and/or espionage thrillers it's well worth watching.

From me I think!

How the director hasn't won a BAFTA, I'll never know!

Well, I'm indebted Paul.

Agree about the directing. It's top-notch. Cinematography is also superb. I just looked it up and, seeing as so much of it is done by drone, I was pleased to see it credited to an Alistair Upcraft.

I don't watch much TV, but I find M&W excellent, almost as though all is well in the world. It's a wonderful antidote to the usual drivel on display. Good on 'em.

It is, Brian. I had no idea it was on - spent a weekend in Hampshire with our friends and walked along the River Test. Back home on the Sunday, stuck the telly on and M & W are only fishing the same water.

Fantastic, gentle television.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Started Battlestar Galactica for the 3rd time last week and I'm hooked again.

What a great program and the 18 year old special effects of series 1 still look better almost anything in the new Star Treks.
In fact it is better in every single way.

Truly evil people if Dopesick is a fair representation of what happened. Every episode leaves me wondering how this could be allowed to happen without breaking the law. The complete destruction of lives and communities all to line the pockets of a super wealthy family. Actually makes me angry just thinking about it.

Empire of Pain by Patrick Radden Keefe gives account of how Sackler family built Purdue & made the decisions to profit from oxy. For shorter intro he’s on recent Adam Buxton podcast.
Incredible they got away with it for so long & without major consequences.

Excellent programme. Quirky, cool, funny, clever and with a kicking soundtrack.

Thanks again, Enfield.
