F A B I A Written by Watchman on Friday, 30th May 2014 15:13 We've got Fabianski! So the transfer window has started and unusually for us it has started about 8 weeks before it normally does. HJ is obviously waiting for a last minute deal on Teletext this summer ( yes I know it has finished but does HJ) A very very warm welcome to LF and hope his stay with us is both a happy and successful one! I really do hope that this signing is really the signal of intent shown by the Chairman when he said the squad needs freshening up , good quality and healthy competition for places is the way we should go and this must be regarded as a very positive first step along the way. I was called to task today by a scouse colleague who said that this must mean that Vorm is on the way to beatleland but as I said why are you so sure, we may actually be saying farewell to Tremmell who has been a reliable and grounded back up but if Vorm were to stay ,would be down at #3 and he will not want that! A player with top flight experience must always be a good thing the rest of the squad is going to be young and fairly inexperienced so the experience LF will bring will be invaluable. As always the Chairman has played a blinder by equalling the lowest fee paid for a player and with HJ about to step out on the Liberty pitch on Sunday we now have 4 top class keepers in the squad! Should Vorm go then I would still like us to get McCarthy of Reading and we really would have a strong nest of ball catchers for the future it is so refreshing to actually see us plan for tomorrow after years of I wish this and that we really can get the players we would like to improve the club! So the first piece of the new jigsaw has been placed and now for the remaining pieces to be arranged! A bold confident first step and hopefully one to be repeated several times over this season Welcome LF Play well and stay fit duh duh Fabianski, Fabianski W Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
