Report: Dale 0 Lincoln 1
Report: Dale 0 Lincoln 1
Monday, 1st Jan 2001 10:13 by Mark Halliwell

That must surely be the end of it now, come 5pm on Saturday, Dale MUST have parted ways with Paul Simpson. Another shocking performance as we got beat off another average side at home.

Is there any point with a match report, all the matters in the long run is SIMPSON OUT!!!

Well briefly here's what happened anyway:

Lincoln scored a header in the dying moments giving themselves a deserved win, after hitting both post and bar in the first half and forcing another wonderful save from Taffy in the second.

Dale created feck all as usual. A Doughty shot was saved when he should have scored, clean through on goal, and Platt missed a header which was well saved. That was it, Dale lost, deservedly so. Simpson must go.

Oh yeah and Hodges came off the bench to replace Paul Connor, who was one of our best players again. What in the hell is going on. Townson on for Evil, Simmo on for Doughty, gave himself another chance to be a greedy bastard too, two shots hit when people were in better positions.

There is no effort, no commitment, the players are not fit, they are unmotivated, and are being led by a captain (Griffiths - why in the hell it was taken off Taffy is anyone's guess) who is barely conference standard. We have a greedy player/manager who shoots at every opportunity, and his assistant probably does not have the intelligence to spell his own name.

We are a laughing stock at the moment. Gary McAllister is probably pissing himself after watching this tonight. Time up Simpson. Resign. If you read this Killie, SACK HIM NOW! Up The Dale.
