The U's second string have tonight beaten Ipswich Town's reserves 3-1. United's goals were scored by Lloyd James, Matt Heath and Kayode Odejayi. Town's goal was a Ben Coker own goal.

The game saw Steven Gillespie return to action having been out with an ankle injury picked up during pre-season.
