Ralph Hasenhuttl States That Che Adams Will Not Leave Saints This Summer Thursday, 11th Aug 2022 13:44 The Saints manager has been speaking in his pre match press conference ahead of Saturday's game against Leeds United and he has reiterated CEO Martin Semmens comments at the fans forum that Che Adams will not be leaving.
Ralph Hasenhuttl today gave a straight answer to a straight question when asked in his pre match press conference whether Che Adams would be departing the club this transfer window and gave a emphatic NO.
This echoes the comments made by Saints CEO Martin Semmens at Wednesday evening's Fans Forum when he said:
“90 per cent of what you see in the media is not true. The fact that Everton are trying to take our striker on loan - it’s not real, it won’t happen, don’t worry about that.
However Hasenhuttl did also confirm that every player has a price and that will possibly lead some to believe that Adams leaving is still on the cards.
But what it did perhaps suggest is that Adams price isn't the £10-15 million that several clubs including Nottingham Forest, Leeds United & even Everton are said to be offering, so perhaps the interest in Che Adams is real, but the money on the table being offered isnt.

So why isn’t he being played? He is the best striker we have currently in the squad. I would expect Che to play as part of a front two in the game against Leeds where we should be on the front foot. If he isn’t then there is something wrong even if he isn’t going to be sold.

WestSussex is right. Che has to be starting this weekend and if he isnt then there is something going on in the background.

I'm desperate for Che to stay. He offers so much more than just goals. His finishing isn't great though he did get a few last season. His hold up play , laying the ball off and through passes are great. Can't afford to let him go. Certainly worth £30 million in current climate. Very pleased to hear the club statements but the rumours keep persisting. We need another forward not to lose our current best one.

He is also the one who says "we play really hard" and "as a manager I give it my everything" Morale being, the guy is full of sh1t.

Supposing Nathan Tella is on his way to Burnley on loan surely there has to be someone coming in next week to support and challenge Adams and Armstrong? I'm hoping that this is Che's season where the goals start to flow with more frequency, his work rate is beyond criticism but he doesn't test the opposition keeper enough. Like other posters have said, if he isn't starting against Leeds then rumours are going to persist.

Just read a report that Che is keen to join Everton. Also there is dissent in the dressing room according to the Mail. That could very well explain a lot of the issues we are seeing. If RH has lost the senior plays like JWP, SA, and OR, then there needs to be a change and now. Oh well, we will see how the dominoes fall.

Che may not leave, but Ralph will.

Not true Nick. He said he will not leave ON LOAN, he did not say he would not be SOLD. Big difference.

Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process.
