Excellent second half performance. Have to take our chances in front of goal though!

I was disappointed when I saw the team - playing Ball and Cameron leaves us short of attacking threat and what more does Willock have to do to get a start? As well as stretching defences he creates when he moves Infield. Although the inability to defend an early corner was nothing new, Rs weren't too bad in the first half.

To prove my grasp of the finer points of football management I applauded Warbs decision to bring on Hammaleinen for the second half to provide more threat down the left, but now discover he made the change because Wallace was unwell.

Anyway, Rs gradually took control of the second half, the addition of Willock and Dykes the final pieces to an impressive performance.

In the end we should have won but our finishing continues to be erratic at best, although Chair finished beautifully for his goal. And after watching the replay I can't see any malpractice by a QPR player before Barbet was hauled down for what should have been a penalty. Until then I thought the ref had been excellent.

An enjoyable game, not much time wasting to please Clive, and played in a good spirit.

Incidentally, is Carroll quietly becoming a reliable part of our midfield??
