Saints Transfer Latest ! Agent Claims He Has Held Talks !
Wednesday, 3rd May 2017 08:37

As the transfer rumour mill starts to warm up ahead of the summer window opening in the next few weeks, it emerges that talks are being already held about one big move.

Armindo Tué Na Bangna is a winger currently playing for Turkish club Galatasaray but goes under the name of Bruma.

He has in the past been linked with Tottenham Hotspur but now his agent is claiming that the North London club are not in the running at least not yet, but he has been speaking to Leicester City and Southampton.

Bruma who is 22 and Portugese started his career at Sporting Lisbon and then joined Galatasaray in 2013, but his career took time to get under way in Turkey, partly through injury and he spent last season on loan in Spain with Real Sociedad.

This season he returned to Galatasaray and has really started to establish himself at the club, leading to rumours linking him with the Premier League.

His agent is quoted as saying.

“We are not in talks with Tottenham,”

“Southampton and Leicester City have registered an interest and we have held talks,"

"Bruma is keen on the Premier League and we will be holding further talks next month. Everything will become clearer regarding his future in May,”

It would appear that Bruma is about to enter the last year of his original five year deal so would be presumably available at a knock down price, however the Turkish club and his agent seem keen to tout him around and get the best deal for both of them.

Only problem with this transfer is why Saints would be going for another winger, at the moment they have three genuine experienced wide players in Tadic, Boufal and Redmond plus the emerging Josh Sims, if Bruma was to join Saints then that would leave the club top heavy with wide players unless one or two were to leave.

Total rubbish. If the rumoured uncertainty about Puel's position has even a modicum of truth about it then transfer dealings will not be decided until the new coaching staff arrive.

SaintBrock I'm not so sure about that, I believe it wouldn't be the first time that a player has arrived at SFC without the manager's prior approval. Equally, it's easy to assume that Puel will be heading back across the Channel in the coming weeks but that again is unsubstantiated. If there is a small amount of truth in this rumour could it be to pave the way for the exit of Tadic who has, reportedly, been a bit disruptive of late? My view is that if Tadic played half as well as he talked he could actually become mor of an asset on the pitch.

SaintBrock, Les Reed will buy and sell whoever he wants to whenever he likes. Puel is not the boss. Reed was even active in the transfer market when we were still waiting for the new manager to be appointed last summer.

This player sounds like a typical Reed signing: relatively unknown so fairly cheap by today's Premier League standards, shows flashes of skill but very inconsistent: a sort of poor man's Boufal.

Maybe the difference is that this guy can score goals? For all their efforts Tadic, Boufal and Redmond hardly contribute to the tally do they?

Marginally good attacking midfielders are relatively cheap so can appear good value to purchasing clubs. We kind of went down this route under Lowe with "utility players"

ATM we play with at least 3 wingers at any time so this does seem plausible

We should get used to these sort of headlines from agents.

By the end of July if we believe all the agents hype, Saints will have bought at least 20 players !
