Seaborne In Serious Condition After Assault.
Seaborne In Serious Condition After Assault.

Dan Seaborne is in hospital after being assaulted outside a nightclub.

The Daily Echo is reporting that Dan Seaborne is "Fighting for his life" after an assault outside the Junk Nightclub in London Road in the early hours of Friday morning, whether the headline is justified is yet to be confirmed but certainly his condition is described as "Potentially Life Threatening" as his family keep vigil at his bedside.

Whether he is concious or not has not been reported, but he seems to have suffered serious head injuries in an assault outside the club alledgedly the follow on after an earlier incident inside.

It is not clear at this stage whether any other Saints players were with Seaborne nor what the fight was over, police who are appealing for witnesses to the alledged assault already have arrested two men in connection with the incident, which saw Seaborne found lying outside the club with serious head injuries at around 3am on Friday morning.

This morning Seaborne is undergoing various tests and scans to determine the extent of any damage, whatever the result it will certainly not be a short recovery period and at this time the main question is that he will be fine and not when he will be playing again.

Im sure all Saints fans wish Seaborne a speedy recovery, whatever the reason behind the assault, no one whoever they are, deserves to be beaten up in this manner whatever they have done.

Well said Nick.
Southampton is becoming a particularly nasty place these days.
I personally think footballers should keep a low profile and avoid night clubs.
I know they are young men and should be safe to go out but there is so much scum out there these days.
Get well soon Dan.

When Saints players went out to night clubs in the 60's and 70's they were treated as celebrities. What changed?

I have to agree with stmichael, as much as I love Southampton, being my home city, it is a nasty place these days especially after dark with way too many hoodlums around. I hope Dan gets better soon and they catch the scum that did this.
