Athletico have a buy back clause of just over £1M. So if he would now claim a much higher price than that originally agreed this is the line you would expect them to take. Then it leaves us still free to offer what WE consider him to be worth. Always bear in mind the possibility of a cheaper similarly talented player lurking in our sight. |

To be fair football in those days had a bucket full of nasty vicious fans spread right across the UK and Europe. Any long term fan will remember teams like Millwall and QPR as well as Man Utd and Leeds having shit followers. One of the reasons you will never find admittance to PL games becoming cheap. Leeds was a ground where you could even bet their pensioners were likely to attack you. I can remember a cup trip to Highbury and having to wade through a river of urine caused by our fans pissing against a wall just inside the ground. I doubt there was a single club that could have been proud of their fans in those days. |

Absolutely correct. Gerrard was leaving until he received serious death threats which reawakened his club loyalty. |

With 3 keepers at the club, even if it existed, an emergency loan would not be possible. The alternative that you seem to want is for a senior member of club management to come out and rubbish our keepers. Arthur's pride would not allow him to play second fiddle to anyone so even if a recall was possible could we trust his commitment to a club he is shortly to leave? Anyone who has followed Saint's long term will appreciate that for us a finish outside the bottom four is a historical success. |

Well done. My comments were tongue in cheek but you can carry on helping people but do it in a sensible fashion. Certainly never to faceless strangers online. |

Once again you can't back yourself up. Anyone who drives a car and pulls a caravan can drive a HGV. The principles are exactly the same with one difference, a HGV is much more manoeuvrable than a car. Once the fear factor on length is overcome and artic performs much better than a car. However a rigid bus is much less manoeuvrable and with a human cargo to care for highly responsible. |

Frankly with all the other shite you have espoused over the years on this site I doubt that you have ever done anything manful in your life. How is your playing of the FSTE that you so proudly boasted of on here going? Strangely you were never capable of explaining the bare mechanics of how you did it. Another bucket of bullshit. Buying and reselling antiques? Obviously a Walther Mittey of a poster who has failed to even accumulate the deposit on a bedsitter? Hates his Asian neighbours because each and every one is a success while you are a total failure in life. Then it becomes clear you are unmarried and living with your aged mother. Yes I drove busses and HGV's back in the days of the old crash gearboxes (look it up). That is why you are so easily exposed you are one of the worlds permanent failures and despise yourself for it. While the NHS is still free at the point of delivery you should really get treatment for your mental problems. |

In return for the services rendered did he at least deserve the chance of beginning the season as our number 1? He was/is a seasoned international goalkeeper with a proven track record whereas FF was unproven in the PL and little in the way of international recognition. FF has proven to have failings as did Arthur but I know many believed that at points during the season Arthur would have saved us points. There is not a great deal between them in ability and I would never knock Arthur because of his services to us. I believe that any right thinking fan can recognise why Arthur may have had a hissy fit. Most on here in the same circumstances would have felt the same? |

Much better to play sides that have to come out. No good sitting back and defending to then lose by a goal in the dying minutes. Sides that come at us suit us. |
