I would suppose that were this site a new product that had just been launched onto the Market, it would have to be judged a failure. It has followed the usual path of novelty and interest initially, but as the numbers demonstrate, has been unable to progress further. I have no axe to grind about whether it should exist or not. It does.....so let it ! I feel that all it has done is shave a few percentage points off the old site, rather like the launch of a variant of an established product. It doesn't make the whole any bigger, i.e. doesn't grow, but merely fractures the original. |

If Valerie,as shareholder, opened recovery procedings for the lost" money, that might prove to be a rapier that goes to the heart of the problem. |

Karl would prefer to go to the Dentist and have all his teeth out, rather than pay compensation. He only COLLECTS compensation. |
| Forum Reply | Apparently Deserved 3 points for Millwall at 19:54 31 Aug 2014
This report has been lifted from the South London Press, and is for Millwall readers. The reality was somewhat different. On clear cut chances, Blackpool and Millwall finished 3-3. They were just better at taking them, and we had Delboy on the end (sadly) of the best one. I have seen it on TP, which hardly registers as a chance, but from behind the goal it was gilt-edged. Miller was also hauled down in the box just before half time which wasn't even shown. |

With Clarke, Rentmeister, Daniels and MacKenzie already on board, a new man coming in at CH might suggest that one of those four might be leaving us. (Are the G-Mac rumours true ? ) The other possibility is that Daniels is also considered to be a RB, and accordingly will either play there, or be Mc Mahon's backup......which I think is extremely unlikely. |

I don't think Riga was desperate for work. What he did at Charlton suggests to me that he would not have had too much trouble finding a Club. |
| Forum Reply | Next manager sacked ... at 19:26 25 Aug 2014
There are two Fulham supporters in my watering hole. One of them said to me, "We have a Manager (Felix Magath) who doesn't know what he's doing". I replied, "We have a Chairman who knows EXACTLY what he's doing". |

The point that I was trying to make is that last time, other than for Charlie, very little was spent on assembling the promotion team. They were a collection of journeymen and rejects and Bosmans, mostly unwanted...........just like now. |

One has to imagine that about half a dozen will be shipped out on loan in order to make room for those incoming. |

Consider...Gilks came as part of the Hoolahan deal, Crainey was booed out of Elland Rd, Southern came from Everton's Reserves after failing to break through, Evatt came from QPR and sometime Coventry, where he failed to shine at both Clubs, Baptiste came for £60k from Mansfield after they fell out of the League, Charlie came from Rangers (£500k courtesy of Valerie) where half of their supporters felt he shouldn't be allowed to set foot in Ibrox, Leicester couldn't give DJC away for £250k, and DV came in from the "Stiffs" of Real Sociedad for £200k, and GTF cost a princely £90k from (then) League 1 Huddersfield when we actually went to buy Robbie Williams, but who was considered too expensive. It wasn't about the money, it was ALL about our Manager, sadly departed ,but whom we'll see on Saturday. We now have another team of Rag, Tag and Bobtail recruits, but we also just might just have another Manager who can also work miracles. |

Blackpool will then have 11 (eleven) strikers, all of whom are of questionable quality. |
| Forum Reply | Just what can be done to get rid of the Oystons? at 19:20 24 Aug 2014
When they have taken the last Parachute Payment, and the Tom Ince money, the Club will have been completely looted. The current players in total are worth barely £500k, and the East Stand has only this and next season remaining of it's "shelf life". The Club will then cease to be of any interest to them, with the crowds back down to under 4k, and even with rent coming in from the various offices around the Ground, the whole enterprise will no longer be a "cash cow", indeed it may even become a liability. At that point, they may decide it isn't worth the bother. Also at that point, Blackpool FC may well be in League 2...............but the air will smell sweeter. My own view is that ALL the money has been invested in non-football businesses, and that they now have a cash-flow problem. They can't buy in any decent players because the money is tied up. Just opinion ! |

There will be quite a few teams that will finish below Blackpool this season. The season will not be anything like our roller coster rides with HIM, but it will be infinitely better than the last year or so. |
