I know its been said, but I'm truly appalled today at the football authorities over Bury. They've now conclusively admitted they cheated last season. That they denied promotion to other clubs who played within the financial rules, yet they are allowed to keep the promotion, play in a more lucrative league, with a crumby 12 point deduction (4 wins from 46 games). What a fantastic example. If that represents the rules, they need changing.... |

As a youngster, in summer, I used to go to a pub on Ashworth Road - the road that links Heywood with Owd Betts - pub was just above School Lane IIRC. Its long gone, but anyone remember the pub name? |

You know what guys, I'm just gonna say it, to all the Hill neigh-sayers - get real. This, for me is his greatest achievement in his time at Dale. Better than the promotions. He'll now do the yearly recycle of the squad with lower league/other club rejects/loanees, with not a pound spent probably, and have to get them together as a fighting force for August. I'd really like to see how Guardiola/Klopp/Mourinho would get on with that year after year after year. Does he make mistakes? Oh yeah. Does he have a job as difficult as any in the league? Very definitely... Cut him some slack please. |

I honestly believe his leaving in January was the difference between playoffs and not. Would it have done any harm for him to leave now instead of then? He cant even get in the Sheff U team :( |

I think today we can surely say Hill's influence has started to really show. He says its been a struggle getting the players to buy in. Beat their heads in Hilly!! Go for it man, we're all behind you! |
