Seems odd that we feel he's got premier league potential yet he cannot even break into the first 11 in League 1 when his club are desperate for players.

These are exactly his good qualities. Unfortunately he is far from being a leader of the defense and hasn't really got a good positional sense. People say he is best suited for the italian game, man-marking.
