Good luck to him, and a good job too. Was interested to see whether hee would go back to youth (a job I'm sure he can do well) or if he would continue to try to be a manager, perhaps at a lower level. This job may suggest that he knew he was out of his depth as a manager.

I appreciate the City stuff is more relevant to his role than his time at Dale, but his time as a manager of a League One side is almost completely glossed over in that article in favour to all the stuff that we heard about from City that completely exaggerated his role. In fairness to Eyre, taking this role shows that he knows what his level is.
I did smile at the line about how his CV reads brilliantly.
