Don’t disagree with the direction of the guardian, but Kahn has won 3 elections and there seems to be a lot of people outside London telling Londoners who voted him in how awful he is.
In regards to rewarding failure, he beat Conservative candidate Shaun Bailey quite convincingly in the 2021 mayoral race

But there’s party political differences too. He has made some good achievements but not all will like them.
As a city it’s far from perfect but as I’ve said in another thread, it’s my favourite city in the world and I try and go as much as I can.

Off topic I know but my favourite city after Swansea is Manchester. Not for football reasons, I've only been to the grounds there supporting the Swans. But for entertainment, live music, sport, shopping, Northern Quarter food it's second to none IMO, the free public transport and infrastructure is also a plus. It's just a well planned and joined up city with modern facilities put where you can access them particularly from out of town. |  | | |
