Whilst it generally makes little difference in losing by one, two, or more goals etc., I think it will become pretty clear just how good Ramsdale has been. Don’t get me wrong, nothing against AM, but there is a gulf in quality.

Yes, understand some that suggest maybe the money should have been put towards a forward, but take nothing away from Ramsdale. One of the very few PL quality players Saints have.

I predict that AM will make some great saves over the next few games. It's inevitable because he'll have so many shots to deal with. Unfortunately he'll let a few in as well.

One of the key questions here is what RM will ask for in terms of playing out from the back. Will he ask AM to play with his feet as he did at the start of the season, or will he tell him to play like he did when Baz was injured at the end of last season? There's probably half a goal a game difference in goals conceded between those 2 options. You never know, maybe this will force RM to adapt his style and we'll start bombing forward and catching teams by surprise!

Ultimately though it probably doesn't matter much. Would we have got any points in the next few games with Ramsdale between the sticks? Seems unlikely. We needed a miracle either way.

Maybe given Macca's lack of RussBall skills, we may have to change our style a bit, as per the end of last season, which could be a good thing.
The thought of Macca and Capn Jack fannying around on the edge of the box trying to pass to each other sends shivers down my spine

Indeed eric.

I think our goal difference is about to get a whole lot worse.

But Eric, 1000's of us, inc most of the pundits and press, would totally agree with that but the dipstick who makes the decisions has "faith in the system" as do ALL the players as well apparently so don't hold your breath

But you never know, and Liverpool may well expect an easy ride and keep the likes of Salah on the sidelines or something to give them a rest and the messiah may, just may, change as you have said
