What the hell are they on??

They were second best down here but flukes a goal and since then won three on the bounce including Leeds tonight. How?

It's remarkable how often that happens for them.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

We made Milwall look a lot worse than I suspect they are. Same with Oxford. Watford looked a good team who couldn’t break us down

Apart from Grimes dropping deep more, the Milwall performance wasn’t far off the last two. When you have three penalties not given and they score against the run of play in injury time, it puts a different slant on it.

Spot on. When you are on a bad run things don't go for you.

the only thing we must fear is this solid defence being broken up in January, instead of getting the contracts of the 2 solid defenders sorted CRIMINAL,
with a couple of quality additions to what we have in jan and who know where we could finish,? unfortunatly this squad is to small and low on quality back up as it is and should we lose either or both centre backs in the upcoming window its yet another rebuild so come on Mr chairman show us the action as we are not even getting words now, or have you been told to keep quiet by the people who own the club?

Need to go on a really sustained good run to get all sides in the negotiation to rethink their options.
Think the club did the right thing with Martin after his poor run of games and then even with the small revival at the end of the season I wouldn't have extend his contract until at least into a a good few months into the last season of his contract just to make sure he could deliver being able to change tactics as and when needed.
Cannot say I been happy about the running of the club but balancing the clubs finances after the drop was essential but it the ownership want to recover their losses they really need to keep the central pairing and the back line which serves us strength in defence and attack for the push for promotion.
The league seems full of teams who cannot adapt to different situations that are required. With our strong defensive we should be able to match most of the teams in this league, wasn't sure bringing in Christie was a good thing but it does bring more experience into the backing to cover events that may happen

I don’t see a promotion push without effective investment in the final third. We just dont have enough goals in us. I can’t name a single player I’d expect to get 10 this season.

We shouldn't fear anyone, if only we had a striker instead of the big galloot we have, teams would be fearing us.

And don't get me started on giving a new contract to the misfiring Cullen.

Harris is using Jade Cooper the giant in attacking free kicks and corners . They are picking up the second balls from his headers . used against Burnley - scored . Used against Leeds - scored . Harris is making the best use of what's available to him and doing an excellent job .
They are very fit and committed and a tight knit group. Well drilled and hard to break down.

Agree that we haven't got the striker we want but se of our players up top are inexperienced at this level and maybe I'm being a bit optimistic but we have seen small signs of improvement up front, Bianchini seems as of he strike a ball cleanly which given se one his initial preformance looked implausible and yet, for him and Vipotnik it has been a big step up, even Pearl-Harris had been written off, hoping we can maintain the supply to the forwards. Whose to say one of the loanee may have to return and along with injured player having recovered and an additional striker tempted by an upturn of form it could push us up the table.
Lots of ifs and buts.

Agree with that absolutely. Bianchini seems like he’s being phased in from the bench and looks better up front than he did out wide early on, appreciate he’s a lot fitter now. Conversely, Peart-Harris looks better on the wing than he did centrally.

Not sure if the last two games are anything to go by, or if Williams was influenced watching Wales, but he may now see Cullen as an attacking midfielder rather than a striker.

I just don’t see the amount of goals we’d need to sustain a challenge. No prolific strikers compounded by a lack of creativity behind them.

We’re hard to beat though. That’s the first step.

I did mention last year about Key moving into the midfield, he does like to take a couple of touches to asseess a situation , maybe too many in a tight defensive position but he does have the control and pace to cause problems in the middle especially being prepared to run at the heart of a defence he looks a threat. We saw last season with his finish after the run and pass from Lowe he is quite calm in front of goal. The only downside would be to unsettle the back four although we now have the option of Naughton and Christie at rightback.. Allen isn't the long term answer even as a half a game man. Is Key the Key to creativity behind the front line while we wait on Eom and Ginnelly's recovery. I liked Parker he seemed to have the pace, determination and a level of ball control to also add to our attacking options.

Enjoy reading posts like this. It’s something I never would have thought of. On the right wing yes, but not centrally.

I can see the logic though

Only offering alternatives or options to ponder upon wouldn't think William's will go down that road in an away game if ever, we hear the phrase "don't up set things if they are working" but there could be other options, Manning ended up at right wing for the first half of a game.under Martin, damage was done we revert back to defend the lead we won the game, doing the same old thing can gets us in a rut, how many times have you heard and opposition manager commenting we know how Swansea like to play football, it is almost saying "we know how we are going to play against the Swans".
With Martin for the most part you knew how we were going to play we just didn't know which team he would pick to try and find the right one fromone game to another, at least Williams seem to make the changes to the starting line up in a more considered way, maybe for the lack of options as seen with substitutions.

Just mentioned Key because now we have other options at right back

Well, Coleman did say to Swans fans in the services near Oxford that a striker is a priority and he will always spend money. And that was witnessed by quite a few.

I’d actually say the centre backs are the priority.

Really don’t see us going up or down this season, a striker isn’t going to change that unless they pull an absolute diamond out of nowhere. We’ve got the two on loan plus Vipotnik, Bisnchini if we decide to play him there. Reasonable chance one of them will get to the level they were expected to.
