Hi All,

Burton Fan here!

Your manager Jim Mcnulty has become overwhelming favourite it seems for our job.

Is he someone you hold in a high regard or someone you're not fussed about losing?

What's his style of football/formation?

Best of luck for the remainder of the season (don't return the favour...season over already!!)

The reality is that a lacklustre performance is the most likely outcome following this week

Of course, for "some" it's fans who're to blame, for commenting on how events have unfolded, irrespective of club employees being in the spotlight. Laughable really...

A big performance required against Latics next week to get us back on track. I hope it happens, always wanting the best for Dale

Crucial period from now till the Xmas/NY fixtures

This last week has been another example of how out of touch the club still are with the fans, new owners or not.

Agree on this next few weeks being massive.

I was happy for McNulty to speak to Burton, he would have left with my blessing and I would have dropped him off and happily picked the compensation cheque up on behalf of the club.

I would have thought that the players would have reacted in an opposite manner so much so that we were the first team that I put down for a win on my coupon this morning.

I actually doubt that we will make the playoffs under McNulty this season when really it should be the minimum expectation.

Jims pre match performance today was just trying too hard to show how committed he is, urging fans to sing up, fans who pay his wages, travel long distances for often misfiring performances, he clearly thinks we’re that gullible. He’d have been better saving his energy for on the touch line during the game, and in the dressing room. I think Jim actually thought today was about him. It wasn’t, and never will be, the team and result are what matters. It looked like the team were disrupted by this weeks shenanigans. Yet again outplayed by a better organised team in the lower reaches of the division. Get on with your job Jim, you will only be measured by results.

Good that McNulty covered the situation in his interview after the match. Credits Cameron Ogden for his interview too.

Communication isn’t hard if it’s considered important enough.

The interview? After he’d blamed the pitch and the referee for allowing time wasting, when in actual fact our own lack of urgency wasted as much time as Wealdstone, for example at about 58 mins, we took about a minute to take a throw in. The referee was in fact excellent and the pitch, well it’s the same for both teams isn’t it. After that at the end of the interview, he was asked whether he had anything to add to what CO said on Radio Bolton. His response was a bit odd, “One of the best statements, from someone senior in the club, for a long time”. The non Ogden Co chair must have winced at that one!

I was only commenting on the Burton link as it was in this thread. Didn’t see the game today but yeah, not a fan of listing excuses ahead of looking at where we’ve fallen short.

The comments towards the end were interesting.

The fact that he flirted with Burton doesn't bother me at all, it would have been an unbelievable bonus for us to have gotten compensation for him to leave the club.

I'm already having nightmares about next Saturday lunchtime!

Gary Bowyer appointed as Burton manager.

Some proper long negotiations there considering JM was told over a month ago that he was second choice. Riggggght.

It’s been so protracted that I read this week that the caretaker at Burton had reached 79th in the list of long serving managers in the top four divisions.

Hope Burton's opponents say nice things about him in their programmes.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?
