In a strange twist of events l found myself in conversation with a young lady who had attended Layer Road for a match against Hull City in our first season in The Championship. The 5-1 encounter.
We were attending a promo evening for a band called The Datsuns in North London in 2008.
During the evening she explained that she had been present at a party that made the national news due to the tragic death of someone by the name of Mark Blanco.
The incident occurred in December 2006.
This incident will be shown on Channel 4 on Monday night at 22.00 in an hour long documentary and several people known to me have made contributions.
It may be of interest to some.
I am very much hoping that the police will reinvestigate the death of Mark Blanco as a result of what will be included in the content.
I know that what l was told by this young lady 15 years ago has been instrumental in the making of this documentary.

I'm not a fan of music awards, especially when they are on ITV, but l just had to watch The Last Dinner Party performing 'Nothing Matters' on The Brit Awards tonight.
It has a hot lyric that cannot be replicated on mainstream TV ( yawn ), and is a totally different treatment than originally envisaged when the song was first written - and all the better for it.
I also had to check out the Charli XCX video on Youtube that l had heard about .....and yeah, 57 million views and counting. Slick work!
I have seen the aftermath of The Brit Awards when the cleaners have come in the morning after.....that was in '05, l can't believe it can be that chaotic these days!
A glimpse of Danny Dyer tonight. I take no interest in his acting career but still possess the first film shorts he ever made on VHS tapes in South London and they are powerful, non commercial dark British film that is almost too challenging to view. | | | |

My day began by checking out the lyrics to Pink Pony Club by Kayleigh Rose Amstutz ( stage name Chappell Roan ).
That's her reveal. It's just the most fantastic pop song and very much her own creation and persona.
Not bad for a young lady who became a singer virtually by accident.
The Mid West and Los Angeles locations in the song's lyrics - simple as they are, just say so much about her journey and path in life.

Note to construction of Cathedral.
I had a few words to work with....l emailed them to myself ....then a couple of lines....then a few more....it's like a little kit....there is a general theme / subject / mood - but it's not dissimilar to throwing an omelette together....hence when l join up the bits....it may still look like it's been thrown together....which it has....
It's something of a sketch....and occasionally it might go on to be more expansive.
I am interested in how lyrics and poetics are written....some very quickly....l like to discuss the process with folk who are doing similar....
I had some interesting conversations with JimBob of Carter - The Unstoppable Sex Machine about our modes of writing a while ago.
Lines used to come so quickly to him that he had to change seats in his car so his wife could drive while he wrote song lyrics in South London.

I have used three words from 'Glorious' by Andreas Johnson....for some followers who have trekked through 'Tigers' you may recall the birthday links with people l am connected to or have referenced in the thread.

I have had contact today from Transglobal Underground....not from Natacha Atlas as such but her birthday just happens to be March 20th.
I was in conversation with an actress last week who is currently on stage in the West End.
We discussed the birthday thing....her birthday is March 20th and an unusually high number of the cast in the show have birthdays in March.
She has noticed this around the world where she has sung and acted.

A heart felt thank you to those of you following the adventures of Pablo The Inflatable Polar Bear - he just evolved from a dog walk a few days before Christmas here in Colchester.
He was standing in a garden gently rocking from side to side and his image was the beginning of the concept for The Yuletide Football League which confused, amused and entertained some folk.
I thought - if an image like that can stop me in my tracks it might be worth developing his character and create a series of ideas to share.
Hence little Mia who is five years old probing her parents and making peanut butter sandwiches for Pablo and his team mates.
