De-fault, de-fault. Favourite way of winning... (only way of winning, for us currently...?)

Fakes and brum, which Is another reason Saturdays result for us was a nightmare. Fakes seem to get points deducted every season but allway's manage to get half the point deduction suspended. Hey ho..................

Wigan - points deduction? (n/t) on 17:28 - Mar 20 with 9045 views | Paddyhoops | The irony of our lot staying up as result of other teams FFP irregularities. It could be our redemption. Mind you known our luck Sheffield Utd will be kicked out of the league and we’ll lose the four points we got off them. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Wigan - points deduction? (n/t) on 17:28 - Mar 20 with 9043 views | enfieldargh | No pressure on the wigan players then, for them its a matter of pride even if they dont get paid. maybe we should see if our players would sacrifice a months wages and play for pride?

As we've seen with some players, pride seems to be a fast diminishing aspect of the game. More worried about their bank account than their pride. [Post edited 20 Mar 2023 17:38]

Wigan - points deduction? (n/t) on 18:37 - Mar 20 with 8706 views | QPRConor2000 | With that the table looks like this. 19 - QPR - 42 pts 20 - Rotherham - 40 pts 21 - Cardiff City - 39 pts -------------------------------- 22 - Huddersfield - 36 pts 23 - Blackpool - 35 pts 24 - Wigan - 31 pts So Wigan have an 8 point gap between them and Cardiff now with 8 games to go and Cardiff have a game in hand as well as Rotherham cause of that game being abandoned. Reading getting 6 points deducted would also take them to 39 points, and they would go into 21st place. Huddersfield would already be down if they got a 12 point deduction too. Would be typical Rangers if we stayed up cause of these points deductions.
Wigan - points deduction? (n/t) on 18:49 - Mar 20 with 8610 views | stevec | It’d be typical Rangers if we still went down despite the points deductions.

| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

Wigan's deduction wasn't due to FFP. Points deductions for Huddersfield & Birmingham (if they happen) wouldn't be due to FFP. Not paying wages, entering administration & fraudulent ownership would hardly improve if FFP wasn't in place!
Wigan - points deduction? There goes Les Ferdinand, I must remember to thank him.

But they are not paying these as they are keeping within FFP, and I would guess the penalties are smaller than breaching FFP. So, it's a less punitive option. Making fools of the EFL once again!

Wigan - points deduction? (n/t) on 23:08 - Mar 20 with 7563 views | Bluce_Ree | To be honest, us staying up on a technicality would be peak Rs and I'd love it. I don't really pay any attention to any other team but if Huddersfield eat 12 points of punishment dick, that'll be dandy. The only problem would be if we somehow managed to get relegated even with all this good fortune. Actually that'd be peak Rs.

Were that to occur, it would be the final straw that breaks the camel's back for many of us. Imagine if Wigan, Brum, Hudds and Reading all were docked points but we went down. It would stretch our ever-attenuating loyalty to breaking point.
