Birmingham Match Thread 12:20 - Mar 17 with 42140 viewsSuperhoop83

I'm so desperate for things to turn around I've decided to start a match thread for the first time ever.

Somehow I predicted the Watford result, although Buzsaky didn't get the goal, so here's hoping for another one.

QPR 2 Birmingham 1

Suffering since 1978.

I know I'm beginning to say it every week - but how can Dickie play? How?! Why?! Give the guy a necessary break - he can come back after the international fortnight and go again.

Dreadful team - it so needed Chair and Paal to inject something - a grain of hope.

Defeat utterly certain. 0-2 to Birmingham.

I've not seen Gubbins play, except on occasional highlights from U21s so I'm not sure what alternative GA has. I suspect NONE.

Adomah for Drewe
Amos for Dozzell

No sign of Chair, Paal, or any of the other wage stealers.

despite Ainsworth indicating/hoping he'd have additional injured parties returning, not so yet

I guess best to wait until after the International break and do it then. Until then, it seems hard to kick and manager and a team down with such a threadbare squad.

I was pondering last night the injustices of FFP. If a billionaire wants to waste it all on The Mighty QPR he can't. Which seems unfair to me, the Premiership keeping us all under control if you like. I was getting really annoyed about it. Then the nurse came and put me back to bed.

I'll go for a 2-0 win or better, but then I am totally insane.

Not a lot of midfield in this team, unless we are hoping to just bypass it completely

Surprised not to see Johansen involved from the start. I’m not an expert but to my basic eye this team lacks leadership and experience. Johansen helps on both fronts but he seems out of favour.

I would think Johanson is not fit enough to last the full game.

So dont think hes out of favour, just not fit enough , as hes been injured for quite a bit, this season,

I can’t afford to go today but is anyone else feeling as anxious as I am? Like unnecessarily anxious given it’s a football match?

It's the business end of the season, and we are running out of games we have any chance in.Today could be pivotal in whether we survive or not - and that is making you and me more anxious than usual. I'm not expecting any favours from other teams or the EFL...so today does feel like a chance to determine our own fate. Come on U R'sss

40+ years ago we used to have a mate Dennis who'd regularly roll up on a Sunday with his boots, "just in case"

Once in a blue moon he'd roll up and we'd be a man short he'd get a game. Moving forward he'd then think the following week he'd automatically get another game .

Never happened.

Can't help but feel if he was wandering the street around Loftus Road, he could get a nod.

When you look at that line-up...it's very sobering.

Could be right just feels a bit odd as he’s been back in contention for a few weeks and started the odd game if memory serves me correctly. Even if he can only manage a half I’d sooner have him starting given our propensity to completely fold if we fall behind.

Richards not in the squad

Has he picked up an injury

Otherwise how bad must he be to only get sub.appearamces all season

Seems to have been available most of the season

Something strange with this !!!

Don't we have some sort of arrangement to buy him after a certain number of games or something? Or was that Roberts?

If the starting eleven doesn’t fill you with confidence, for goodness sake don’t look at the bench

We look so toothless

School boys stuff yet again
Our players are thick as fcuk

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Kakay needlessly gives away possession and not one of our three centre backs her remotely near making a challenge to stop the goal.

I’ve never watched QPR for the glory or the wins. Let’s be honest we know what supporting QPR is about but this is becoming absolutely ridiculous

I don’t see the effort or the passion that I have seen before
