Week 14 results

AFC BOURNEMOUTH 2 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 3

A third straight defeat for Bournemouth, as Spurs fight back from two goals down to claim an important victory. Nobody got this spot-on, but 23 did have the outcome.

BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION 4 CHELSEA 1
Graham Potter endured a nightmare return to the Amex Stadium as Brighton thrashed Chelsea to claim a first victory under their new manager Roberto de Zerbi. Again nobody had this spot-on, though 3 did get the outcome.

CARDIFF CITY 1 ROTHERHAM UNITED 0
A Jaden Philogene goal claimed a much-needed win for Cardiff, to end a run of three successive defeats, as Rotherham fail to have a shot on target. A magnificent 7 got this spot-on, and a further 9 had the outcome.

LUTON TOWN 1 SUNDERLAND 1
The points are shared for Nathan Jones in his 300th game in charge of Luton, and for Tony Mowbray in his 800th match in club management. 3 had this spot-on, and nobody got the outcome.

CHELTENHAM TOWN 0 MILTON KEYNES DONS 0
After claiming midweek wins, both teams had to be content with a point from this bore draw. Nobody got a 3 pointer, but 3 did have the outcome.

PORTSMOUTH 1 SHREWSBURY TOWN 1
Defender Zak Swanson's first senior goal salvaged a point for Portsmouth in a game where they had 75% possession, and Shrewsbury scored with their only shot on target (sounds familiar). With everybody predicting a win for Portsmouth, no points for anybody from this game.

MANSFIELD TOWN 2 SWINDON TOWN 5
Swindon leapfrogged promotion rivals Mansfield and into the top four with an impressive victory over 10-man Stags. Another game with no 3 pointer, though 5 did have the outcome. 18 predicted a win for Mansfield with a massive 14 going for a 2-1 in what was the weeks most predicted score.

STOCKPORT COUNTY 3 SUTTON UNITED 0
In-form Stockport made it three League Two wins on the spin as they hammered 10-man Sutton, who had Omar Bugiel seeing red after just three minutes. A final game this week with no 3 pointer, but 20 did get the outcome.

Wow. Another example of why bookies encourage punters to bet on football. With halloween only two days away, that was another week of shocking results, that had six games failing to get a 3 pointer. The Cardiff 1-0 and Luton 1-1 gave us a total of 10 spot-ons, and together with the Spurs and Stockport outcomes, made sure everybody put some points on the board. Only one member got the two games to have 3 pointer spot-on, that was GOSBTS, who also had the Spurs and Brighton outcomes, to make him the weeks top scorer with a very decent 8 points. Best of those to get one 3 pointer was noah4x4, who had the Cardiff 1-0 and the Spurs, Swindon and Stockport outcomes to give him a solid 6 points.
The two 1-1's this week make that the seasons top result with 14. Two ahead of the 1-0.

Midweek League Cup A quick turnaround of games in this competition, and a reminder the next deadline is Tuesday 1st November 19.45.

Happy Cup A reminder the 1st Round of fixtures in this competition take place next weekend. All details on the separate Happy Cup thread.

In the Premier Having the Cardiff 1-0 spot-on made sure mfb_cufc would be leading for another week. The solid week for noah4x4 moved him up a place to second. Also up a place to third is ghughes11, with his three outcomes. Dropping to the final Super Cup spot is RSCOSWORTH, on the first to post rule. Just missing out on the most 3 pointer rule is thrillseeker. Thanks to getting the Cardiff 1-0 spot-on, unitedwhites moves up a place to seventh. To equal his highest position this season, last achieved in Week 3. The only other upward move came from wessex_exile, but he remains in the bottom three. It is now four weeks without a 3 pointer for Sector4, but the second most outcomes over the two divisions, continue to move him a bit nearer to safety.

In Division One Three outcomes for Pinault_Noir were just enough for him to maintain top spot, but only on the most 3 pointer rule from GOSBTS, whose top scoring performance moved him up three places, and back into the other automatic place. Having the Luton 1-1 spot-on moved oxfcolu up a place to third. Just one outcome for MrHappy2 drops him to fourth. A second successive missed week for sevebalo doesn't cause too much damage, but he is now fifth. The final play-off spot is still held by bwildered, after he had three outcomes. The biggest rise in the rest of this league came from Lewis_1, who moved up three places, thanks to getting the Luton 1-1 spot-on.

THE TABLES (100 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
