Think it is harsh on Jimmy. 2 clean sheets in a row and then get dropped. Like all managers Beale must have his own men and Balogun and JCS are his men.
With Nakhi and Conway up top for Bristol I guess Dunne might be not needed to mark a big lump but, be interesting if we do leak a few goals this afternoon as Bristol I think are the divisions highest scorers.

That's Beale's back 4 and he's beginning to pick 'his' player now. I don't have a problem with that but agree with others that it's very hard on Dunne who certainly played his part in the two clean sheets in two games. |  | | |

For the first time this season - our back 4 are all Mike Beale's loan/signings.
Add Tim in midfield and Roberts up front - then the 7th Beale signing Taylor Richards is just waiting in the wings after injury.
That will then be 7 changes from last year's side.
That's quite an overhaul!

It suggests that Beale’s unconvinced by Dunne and I’m not massively surprised. Dunne gets a lot of love on here but I see him as more of a squad player than one of the first names on the team sheet.
Or maybe Beale feels that Balogun and Clarke-Salter are more suited to today’s game which could be end to end whereas Tuesday night looks more like a backs to the wall job that’s perhaps more suited to Dunne. |  | | |

Agree he’ll take flak if it goes wrong. But he has to make the big calls and pick a team that he believes is best placed to get a result today. Let’s hope he’s got it right. | | | |

As I remember it, Dunne was not expected to be a regular starter when signed as we had Dickie, Barbet and had signed De Vijs - but when he did play he was excellent and I think we all took to him.
That doesn't mean he is the best central defender at the club right now. Equally, if he isn't, it doesn't mean he is doomed to disappear without trace. | | | |
