Any predictions as to how it will go?
I'm guessing the script will be 100% "poor little Rochdale". Never mind the struggles of other clubs, NOBODY will have had it as bad as "poor little Rochdale". We can't compete with anyone, ever, because we are "poor little Rochdale". Being in 4 consecutive relegation dogfights in League One will be repeated as "historic success". Ambition and positivity will not be mentioned as those present salute each others abilities.

1. April 3rd 2019 club announce BBM has signed a two year deal.
2. March 10th 2021 20.31 club director confirms his deal expires in the summer of 2021.
3. March 10th 2021 20.33 BBM corrects Director saying he's in contract until 2022.
4. Director looks genuinely surprised!
Miss Marple says: BBM has been awarded a 12 month extension by person/persons unknown and hasn't informed all the Directors. The club didn't announce the extension in the media, instead choosing to announce it at a Fans Forum when the club is bottom of the league.

I stopped watching after an hour, through boredom as much as anything.
One or two comments made caused me to raise my eyebrows though.
The first was that we didn’t pay a transfer fee for anyone between Chris O’Grady and Ryan McLaughlin. Surely that’s wrong? Jordan Williams?
It was then remarked that it was much cheaper to employ loan players.
Presumably then if the going rate for a decent, seasoned L1 defender is something like £4K a week then the likes of Roberts and Bola cost less than half of that?
That might explain a lot. The fact remains that a lot of 18 year olds just aren’t physically developed enough though.
The comment was also made that because the season had been so condensed that if a player was injured for two weeks he was likely to miss four games rather than a couple of matches in previous seasons.
That’s fair enough, but, armed with that knowledge, why sign players with appalling injury records. | | | |
