Itch, I don’t think there are murders still happening today of Italian chefs that are written off as ‘suicide’ with no evidence / note etc. There have been three black men found hanging from trees In the US in the past few weeks where the reason is only now being investigated after a furore. And a murder of a black woman that was part of the protests a week or so ago.

No but 48% of murder victims in London are black and 48% of murder suspects are black. This is despite only 13% of London's population being black, 60% white and 27% others .

The Times seems to be omitting key facts here in the interest of making a story.
It’s been reported elsewhere that the £900k includes changes to the interior configuration of the plane and installation of new internal comms systems and ground to air comms systems to enable the passengers to be contacted in the air. Presumably that means installation of satellite equipment etc.
The plane is also leased and has to be repainted every 7 years as part of the contract - it’s currently gone 7.5 years without a paint job so perhaps the Times could find out the incremental cost of the proposed white paint job over the standard military paint job that’s due anyway rather than “making” news?
