Match thread, Rotherham away on 21:52 - Mar 10 by sandy_dale | I think it’s actually our own player who barges Lillis who then goes to ground |
You could see Delaney got hurt in the challenge as well but didn't want to let on as it would have been clear he'd clattered Lillis. Terrible decision by the ref who seemed to award the goal and then disallowed it merely as an afterthought. Perhaps justice as it wasn't a free kick in the first place. Officiating was poor all afternoon, with the linesman to our left superfluous to proceedings for most of the afternoon.

Credit Hendo with an assist? Looks like Davies and Cannon trying to get in on the action and Harrison about to card someone? Done has seen enough but Delaney can't make his mind up? I just saw it as an innocent goal celebration and now you've ruined it for me!

http://www.thestorkinn.com/ Good job it says 'inn' and not 'on', or we'd be back to that picture of Lillis...
| When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf? |

He went in at half-time. I saw him waiting for the ref before following him down the tunnel. I presume he came out again because he was there in the second half. I read his body language as "we're playing brilliantly here but we'll probably get done by a ref who can't make his own mind up and listens to the crowd" although that changed at the end of the first half. He was particularly enraged when their player picked up the foam and moved it a metre in. Got himself into a lather over that one as did the rest of us.

Very impressive highlights. We could have won by 3 or 4 given the chances we had. Special mentions to Steven Humphrys (took his goal very well and should have more than one to his name and could be the difference to our run in); Andy Cannon (who continues to put in man of the match candidate performances); Henderson (for his sublime take of aerial ball and pass to Humphrys which would have been a goal of the season contender) and Done (showed great commitment along with Hendo to get on the end of Cannon's cross by sliding in at far post and played with a bandaged head). But, overall a superb team performance that gives cause for much hope.
Match thread, Rotherham away on 16:38 - Mar 11 with 2662 views | Shun | After watching the league's highlights what's immediately apparent is how many terrible pitches there are in this league, both of our near neighbours among them. Ours has to be one of the best in the league right now.

The commentator cocked up after that sublime control and pass from Hendo. It was Inman who ran clear and had his shot saved.

Good golly (sorry). Small world. Best not to go into chaos theory and the link to your wedding and me going 41 years later. I've driven past the place after the last three Fleetwood away games and thought it looked worth a try, but the Lancaster one-way system always put me off doing so. Now the Bay gateway road has opened, it's tons better access from the north, even with the Greyhound bridge being out of action for 27 weeks for repairs, and Skerton bridge being 2-way traffic. Anyway, grub not bad at all. Considering how busy it was (one of the worst days to eat out) I'd go back and give it another whirl on a less busy day. Five handpulled ales including Citra at 4.7%. Deceptively big too! Good find.

Match thread, Rotherham away on 18:44 - Mar 10 by D_Dale | A magnificent performance today! Cliches maybe, but the players contested every blade of grass and fought for every ball. The fans were magnificent too. At the end quite a bromance developed as the players came up to the goal-line in front of the fans for a lengthy session of mutual applause! If only this high-powered performance can be maintained for the next two months ... |
Good to know the fans' support at Rotherham was appreciated, but KH also seems concerned that the players might be made anxious if the fans aren't positive tonight. From the OS: Manager Keith Hill has thanked fans for their “amazing” support away at Rotherham United on Saturday and has asked for more of the same when his side return to action at the Crown Oil Arena on Tuesday night. The midweek fixture is the first of three home games in a week for Dale, and the Gaffer hopes the fans will give the players their positive backing. “We’re looking forward to getting back on home turf on Tuesday night,” said Hill. “The supporters on Saturday were magnificent and when we go to our home ground, there can’t be any anxiety brought to the players. The Dale fans at Rotherham were amazing — they were absolutely superb. The acoustics in the stadium are superb but all I could hear was our supporters. “On Tuesday, and over the next three home games, they have to make sure that they support our cause and donate positivity.” After two away wins, Hill admits his side will go into the match full of confidence but says that it’s hard-work that will get them points. “We’re going into Tuesday confident but we’re going to have to work as hard as we did on Saturday. “It’s important that we keep these performances going. No-one gives you the opportunity to win — you’ve got to work hard. “On Saturday, the players not only worked hard, they also thought well and the intelligence was superb against a good strong side. “The lads are doing really well and they’re trying to put into practice what I’m asking of them.”
