Groundsman 13:48 - Feb 10 with 2158 viewsrafc1977

I know that it appears we have recently parted company with head groundsman and that Oli has been seen around the club (and working on the pitch on Tuesday) whilst Russ credited Drew on Talksport.

Question is this, should we invest in the best groundsman we can to manage our pitches moving forwards? I don't personally know Phil Collinson or Old Makin, but we didn't seem to suffer as much with them in charge. I could of course be totally wrong an my memory failing me.

If the ex groundsman put the wrong sand down that's ridiculous and you'd have to question his credentials to look after a professional football pitch, but by the same token those who employed him!

Old Makin sounds like a brand of pipe tobacco.

Our pitch was always pristine when Oli was our head groundsman. I think it's no coincidence that he's now at Scunthorpe and, looking at his Twitter, their pitch looks spot on too.
