New kits around the world 2017/18 18:13 - Apr 27 with 61246 views442Dale

It's been surprisingly quiet on the new shirts from so far, but they should start appearing more regularly now.

Liverpool

Similar to the classic strip from the 70s/early 80s (see below), which is good, however it's let down slightly by the red trim in the collar and the New Balance logo not being in gold like the badge. Verdict: 7/10, always a fan of kits which reflect those used in the past.

Edit: With shorts and socks:

0.5 off the Verdict score for having white turnovers on the socks, especially with the shorts being so plain. Jarring.

Anyone know of any others? Stick them here.

Dale home ?

The twitter leak was right after all!
Love the black and white stripes - as I'm sure everyone will - a classic design.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

Great to see weve returned to black and white stripes, but find the home shirt a bit dull based on twitter photo.
Hopefully it looks fine in the flesh.

How come there is was no fan input this time?

I quite like that Newcastle one. The sponsor's logo looks really good with it.

That Everton shirt is almost as dull as ours.

No wonder Lukaku will be on his way, he obviously got a sneak preview of the new shirt.

Can't agree with you there, Shun. I think that Newcastle sponsorship logo is dreadful.

Agree, the sponsor on Newcastle's shirt is awful and Everton's isn't much better. In fact the Everton shirt is almost as bad as ours.

If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor

Brighton: finally a Nike strip that looks good. Impressive use of different shades of blue and the gold trim sets it all off very well.
Verdict: 8/10, thinking about varying the same colour whilst using stripes is interesting to say the least.

Newcastle: forgetting the sponsor for a moment, this is a proper Newcastle strip. Very reminiscent of the 80s outfits they had with solid blocks of colour.
Verdict: 9/10, look at the turnover on those socks #mirandinha

Everton: Umbro diamonds returning on the sleeve and they then go and reduce the impact by making navy the second colour. While that's a unique and not awful looking idea, it seems a step too far for a club like Everton.
Verdict: 6/10, imagine those diamonds in white...

Everton's one looks like a training kit with a sponsor plastered on.

Bayern home/away/third:

Still not sure on that home kit, though I do like the historic aspect to it.

I think Lincln played in a strip very similar to that in the 1960s

Leicester: 6/10, Puma's templates are so uninspiring but the domination of blue eradicates that a bit. But by Christ, that sponsor appears to be on steroids.

Palace: 5/10, the kit itself isn't too bad as its back to proper stripes but it is far too similar to Macron's 2014/15 effort. It's doubtful they spent more than 20 minutes on it and when a club chooses a shirt that's too similar to a previous choice it's bound to affect sales. It's as if they hope no one notices... though I doubt a non-league side has it for an away kit.

14/15 here:

Surely that sponsor won't be allowed at that size (have distant memories of Chairman Warren Clarke getting fined for an inflated sponsor logo in an episode of the Manageress back in 1989)

What a great kit they had by 80s standards too.

Verdict: 8/10, pinstripes and Umbro's new crossover collar send shirts hurtling towards the Sky years without forgetting the Big Match.

Quickly flicked over to see plenty of Hull FC fans wearing them, so they've done their job.
