This is hilarious - fans allegedly supporting the same club fighting and insulting each other. I don't get to many games - Liverpool away was the last - but while I recognise there would be no club without supporters actually being present at Loftus Road , I feel I am just as genuine a fan as any other (without having to play the 'following them for 40 years' card). As for relegation - no team has ever been relegated with 50 points, so chill.
There is only one person throwing insults and while I think we are ok in 2012/13 Wolves went down on 51 and Peterboro joined them on 54 .......ya gotta do da research ....

Perusing the thread while listening to Riko Dan. Beaker gif moving in perfect synchronicity.
Whats perturbing me is when we play Norwich away last game, Blackburn go to midtable-safe Rs-hating Griffin Park. "Zzub zzub zzub" The noise bees make when they roll over.

If you were just contradicting the assertion that 50 points always means safety, fine, but that was a highly unusual season. Despite that fact that Holloway's points per game is back behind Hasselbaink's again and going in the wrong direction, we're not going to get relegated.

Agree one of Blackburn or Wigan might well escape, but I can't see it being both, and in any case I'd be more worried if I was a fan of Forest or Birmingham.
Could do with at least a point against Wednesday to ease the jangle of nerves a bit, but realistically we could lose every game we've got left and probably still stay up. And I don't think we will lose every game we've got left.
This.
The season is over and Ollie is experimenting. Frustrating for the people who went yesterday, however I do think we saw enough in the unbeaten run to give optimism for next year. I'm not saying we will be good enough to go up, but I think the team is shaping well as is the club more broadly.
We could easily beat Wednesday on Monday and help our friend Konk at the same time...

No, we're safe on 50 points, listening to Talksport on the way home yesterday and they were of the view we were safe put it down to law of averages if you like there's too many below us who wont do enough for us to slip into it, with only 2 positions to "vie" for.

If the gap was 4 points with 4 to play then I think it would be time to worry but although i's obvious we still need a win to put our feet up it's going to take a hell of a run from the teams below us for it to go wrong for us

12/13 Peterborough relegated with 54 and Wolves with 51.
Which as isawqpratwcity points out further up the thread was a freakish season. Apart from that season, in the last dozen seasons only Gillingham in 04/05 and Leicester (ironically under IH) in 07/08 have been relegated from the Championship with 50 or more points. So three seasons out of the last twelve, teams have dropped with the so called 'magic' 50 points. Pretty good odds I'd say.

So 1 in 4 chance of this being a freak season ?

Best advice comes from The Hitchikers Guide. Don't Panic in big letters.
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one's lifetime." (Mark Twain)

Sorry. I forgot. As I dont write beautiful six knee jerks I'm not allowed to express an opinion. Pull my chain when i'm allowed to say something why dont you?
Sorry snowflake did i hurt your feelings? As i say every time you cry like this: you can say whatever you want. I never said you couldn't. And equally i'm allowed to disagree with you and take the mick out of you. That's what a forum is.
Bare bones.

For us to go down, we basically have to lose all four games and finish with eight straight defeats, which if we do we pretty much deserve what we get.
However, in addition to that....
Blackburn, who've won one out of their last nine, would have to win three of the last four. Bristol City H, Wolves A, Villa H, Brentford A
and
Burton, who've won two of their last ten, will have to win two of their last four. Birmingham A, Leeds H, Barnsley A, Reading H.
and
Forest, who've won two of their last 12, will have to win two of their last four. Cardiff A, Reading H, QPR A, Ipswich H
and
Birmingham, who've won two of their last 23 and none of their last eight and couldn't beat Rotherham yesterday, need a win and a draw from their last four. Burton H, Villa A, Huddersfield H, Bristol City A
and
Bristol City, who are in decent form TBF, need a win and a draw from four Blackburn A, Barnsley H, Brighton A, Birmingham H.
All of this is complicated by the fact a lot of these teams are playing each other. I presume we're saying that Blackburn will beat Bristol City as will Birmingham, leaving only two games for City to get their four points. If Burton beat Birmingham then Birmingham only have three games, including away at Villa, to get their points. If Birmingham beat Burton then Burton only have three games to get their points.
Is it possible? Yeh. It's QPR after all, be just our luck.
Is it likely? Not really, is it, honestly?
Is this thread hilarious? Absolutely - nice to see people you don't hear from for weeks suddenly in prolific form after four defeats. Posting is also allowed after victories.

Burton or Blackburn will join Wigan and Rotherham imho we had bedwetters worried about us being relegated when we had 43 points with 15 games to go
