First time poster long time reader but today tipped me over the edge
Huw Jenkins has done much good for this club but in the past few years his ego has taken over and he is slowly (quickly) undoing all the good work he did
Selling the club without any safeguards of investment (it seems) nor the protection of the interests of the fans through the trust was the last step and his constant interference in team affairs has led to the mess we are in which has a very good chance of leading to our relegation
Along with the rest of the board who sold out they have let the £ signs cloud their judgement and I suspect that for many forgiveness wont be forthcoming if it is at the expense of our premiership status.
The manger carries the can for what goes on the pitch but the chairman carries the can for the bigger picture and every thing we have done since the European campaign has pretty much gone wrong so that for me is the end of the road JENKINS OUT and take the rest of the snakes with you as well so they can count the money they made off us |  |

My point is HJ oversaw all of those things you are talking about. HJ played a major role in appointing Martinez, Rodgers, Laudrup. He / the board made the right decision last year to bring in Guido. You could argue that they made the right decision in bringing in Garry as we ended up with our best PL finish (sh*t quality of football aside). They certainly made the right decision getting rid of him when they did. He seems to get decisions right a lot more than getting them wrong.
He knows us as well as anyone. He's the last link to what made us a success in the first place. As soon as he goes we've completely gone over to faceless foreign owners and managers with no links to the club or area.
Sure, he's made some mistakes. But he's got a lot more right than he has wrong (as proven by this being our 6th season in the PL).
Maybe I'm wrong and someone else can come in and do a much better job when Huw goes. I hope they do. |
H appointed RM yes, but it was RM who sold the idea of a Swansea way to Huw. It's that way round mate.It all stayed to turn sour fo him when he realised h couldn't handle ML agent. It was at this point that it started to show he didn't have th business acumen nor ability to be able to deal with different personalities with differing agendas (<agents and footballers) to be able to continue running the club in the way requird. Too small minded IMO.
Maybe his antics mean he's pissed a few off in the football world and know that is coming back to haunt him? |  | | |

Maybe they're not as ignorant as we think. Apparently when HJ was umming and arring about choosing Guidolin or Rogers, the yanks wanted to bring in Jurgen Klinsman, and apparently they could have delivered him too cos of the US connection. |
Well that's totally different to what I heard at the time.
From what I was told, only 2 people were ever interviewed to take over the job.
HJ and most of the old guard wanted Brenda, that was till he priced himself out of the job with £4 MILLION a year wage demand. (That he wouldn't budge from despite several attempts to talk him round) and a large amount guaranteed for Summer recruitments. He was convinced he was coming back and the deal was as good as done... how wrong he was....😆
The Yanks on the other hand wanted the second candidate interviewed. Robbie Di Matteo, who was happy to go with the squad in place plus 1 or 2 more. On top of that he was happy with half of what Brenda wanted in wages....
It was only when the fans started to chant Guidolin's name on the terraces and it emerged was generally the fans choice they even considered him.

What about putting FG there, DOF that is. And bring in a new manager. That way we don't have to pay him off. He'd do a better job the Huw for sure as it would be extremely difficult to do it worse that's for sure.
