Newcastle United defender Remie Streete will learn his fate in the next 24 hours when it comes to securing a loan move away from St James’ Park.
Streete has been linked with Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday but it is understood that Port Vale - the club he was recalled from this month due to injuries on Tyneside - are still in with a good chance of allowing him to continue his stint in the Potteries.
Streete was on the bench for the 1-0 win over Queens Park Rangers but is eager to add to his three senior appearances for Port Vale. His current deal ends this season but Alan Pardew has hinted he could be offered a new contract.
