With Joe Dunne being promoted to Assistant Manager this summer, former Ipswich Town coach Richard Hall will now take charge of the U's Reserves.
The 38-year-old, who made over 150 appearances for Southampton during his playing days, has been appointed as the club's Development Coach after being a Centre of Excellence coach at the club for the past year.
The role is intended to be the link between the First Team and Youth Team, looking after players breaking though, such as Thomas Bender and Michael Rafter.
Hall's first game in charge of the Reserves will be this Wednesday when United's second string take on Watford at Park Drive, Maldon (kick-off 7pm).
