Kean Returns To Norwich
Goalkeeper Jake Kean has returned to Norwich City following the end of his one-month loan.
The 24-year-old was missing from the squad for the weekend’s Essex derby and U’s boss Kevin Keen as since admitted that it was mutually agreed not to continue the loan.
Speaking to the Colchester Gazette, Keen said: "It was an agreement between the two of us. There were a couple of things that Jake wasn’t happy with, so he’s gone back to Norwich.”
The U’s are not expected to draft in a new goalkeeper, with Keen going on to say "We have Elliott (Parish), Dylan (Barnes) and James Bransgrove until the end of the season and I’m sure that they won’t let us down."
In his short spell at the club, Kean made five appearances and conceded 11 goals.

Salford Vs U's Match PreviewIt's two 12:30 kick offs in as many Saturdays for the U’s as they make the trip up to Salford on the back of a battling goalless draw against Gillingham and an unfortunate midweek defeat by West Ham U21’s in the Vertu Trophy.
U's Vs West Ham U21 Match Preview My dislike for West Ham comes from when I was a lad at school supporting Col U when some of the other (shall we call them ‘cooler’) boys in school decided to change the team they support from Arsenal and Man Utd to their local team! Now bearing in mind that they all lived, and I assume were born in Colchester, I thought that we might have had one or two extra Col U fans to populate Layer Road – nope, I was wrong they plumbed for that other “local” team approx. 60 miles away in East London! Then as I got older there were neighbours and work colleagues that supported West Ham for no other reason than being the local “big Team in Essex!?!?”
