A bit of perspective please!
at 12:40 12 Jan 2025

It's an interesting one this - I was quite happy with the team when I saw it before the game. Lot's of these comments are made with hindsight following the result.

Yes he could of made changes at half time but we had just got back in the game and for large parts of the first half played really well.

When it went to 4 v 2 then 5 v 2 it was game over no point bringing on Dunne then as it would of made no difference.

I think Marti definitely left Madsen on the pitch to hang him out to dry.

I get where everyone is coming from - I also think we were all surprised that Leicester went with such a strong line up especially as they have a very important midweek league fixture.

Yes as mentioned elsewhere thank you for the parking tips - I parked in Marlow Road with no issues and just a brisk 20 minute walk to the stadium. Easy to get back on the M1 too.

Fans were class today stayed with the team throughout. I along with loads of others even stayed to the end to clap the players off which is unheard off after a 6 v 2 defeat. No need to get on thier backs after recent results.

Thanks Pal - much appreciated do you think it’s still a better option than trying to park near the ground?

Leicester Park and Ride

As I'm driving tomorrow (trying to lay of the booze) I think I will try the park and ride. Enderby looks the best place (from the South) getting the 203 bus.

Anyone ever done that before?

Madsen Mins

Good job I wasn't in the dressing room after Derby away - I wanted to lynch Madsen that day. He has been woeful so far and was a big part of our problem early season.

However I don't want to throw the baby out with the bathwater just yet. If anyone can get him up to the standard required it will be Marti and the coaching team. No doubt he has natural technical ability but you need so much more in today's Championship.

Luton keeper walked straight down the tunnel at the final whistle too without shaking any players hand.

What a big baby........

Three and easy night – Report
at 08:04 8 Jan 2025

Great start to Wednesday morning Clive - A cup of tea and reliving Monday night with that fabulous report.

I am still absolutely amazed with our turnaround. On the train back from Elland Road in November surrounded by Leeds fans (champions of Europe) I was convinced we were down. I watched us not lay a glove on Leeds and we stank of relegation.

And so here we are early January and my kids are now looking up the table saying could we catch Sheff Wed, Watford and Bristol City and whats that coming over the horizon it's only the play offs.

For me I'm just relieved the gap to relegation is now nine points and we weren't Charity Park Rangers on Monday night.

I'm back liking this team and its workrate off the ball, I was particularly impressed with the role of the bench Monday night. Wasn't it nice to have subs who came on and made a difference.

Just to add a bit of balance I recorded the SKY programme last night and watched today. Great to see Gareth Ainsworth and Jamie Mackie as the pundits and they obviously both still love the club and even admitted they were both bias in thier analysis.

Good to see that after everything Gareth still has a soft spot for us.

Thanks Clive - Great preview.

Please boys if there is one team I want you to turnover it's Luton bloody Town.

It would be very easy with the kids back at school today (and a 8.00pm kick off) to sack this one off and watch in the warm in front of the fire and a few weeks ago I might of done just that but no these boys have come up trumps recently so we will make the effort and head into W12 tonight.

Poorly pet dog
at 09:51 6 Jan 2025

Unfortunately I have no advice - We had to say goodbye to our beloved Dog just before Christmas as she was diagnosed with mouth cancer a few weeks previous. She had an Operation but the biopsy showed it was the most deadly and aggressive form of cancer she could of had.

We decided not to give her any more operations as it would of been horrific for her so decided to go down the palliative care route until her time came.

It was a tough decision but we enjoyed our last few weeks with her and the painkillers helped keep her comfortable until that day came.

It's bloody tough as they are the heart of family.

Sending all my love and best wishes to you and your four legged friend.

best london derby qpr you've seen.....home and away.

Clive Allen getting a late winner at the Loft End against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup QF in 1982 and the carnage afterwards will stay with me forever. I was only a young lad and thought wow I love this place.

Away from home Michael Robinson from the halfway line in 1986 and giving it to all my Chelsea mates at school the next day.

I was there the day Johnny Byrne got that goal and I remember walking through allotments too. I often wonder when I go there now where are the bloody allotments. For some time I thought I must of dreamt it or smoked something a bit potent as I used to in them days.

New Year’s Frey delight for resurgent Rangers – Report
at 17:32 3 Jan 2025

Wow just read that Clive what a biography - Can you imagine what a night out with Bill was like back in the day.

I don’t even think Ray Parlour and Alan Brazil would have managed to keep up with him.

Surprised he managed to get to 56 years before he passed.

Another masterpiece Clive to go with all the others.

I read the report in bed last night and burst into hysterics on the Bill Werbunick line. The wife said what are you laughing at so I told her.

"Who's Bill Werbunick and what's a S-bend she asked"

"Best you don't know" I replied

All eyes on Monday now - God I would love to do the treble on Luton. I remember all to well the running battles we had with them in the eighties.

Watford Reflection
at 12:37 2 Jan 2025

Enjoyed the performance very much.

Watford came to bully us and we stood up strong and ended up bullying them.

It was Ashby's best game for us especially second half in his natural position.

Fox played well too and shown once fully fit he can be a decent squad player.

Morgan could turn out to be masterstroke from the recruitment team.

MOTM for us was between Dunne and Smyth and we went for Dunne in the car on the way home.

Still can't believe we were bottom and looking certs for relegation only a few weeks ago.

Happy New Year My R's - Preview

It’s strange as I am reading today’s preview after our fantastic 3 v 1 win today against Watford.

A very emotional read Clive and one that brought a lump to my throat.

You captured the trials and tribulations perfect.

Nice nod to the dads and daughters too. We were there today with our sixteen year old daughters (son in bed with a hangover) and it was magical absolutely magical. Making memories that will last a lifetime.

Thanks again Clive - Your articles are a big part of supporting this wonderful football club.

Late heartbreak for improved QPR at Carrow Road - Report
at 12:10 31 Dec 2024

Brilliant report Clive - So good I had to read it twice.

Me and the kids watched nervously on TV - The wife kept coming into the front room to ask us to stop swearing or the neighbours would be complaining (again).

"FFS go long this time stop commiting suicide in our own penalty area" We shouted.

To be fair when we eventually went long it still kept coming back due to Frey's stiffness and lack of bodies around him.

My son now has a hole in his bedroom door following the Norwich equaliser.

Ah the joys of following our beloved Rangers......
